Danner Men's StrikerBolt Side-Zip 6" Military and Tactical Boot

As usual Danner’s fit just right. There’s going to be a break in period I know but the one down side is the zipper area as the waterproof coverage won’t go but halfway up the zipper and from my perspective that doesn’t even cover the ankle but the boot goes well above the ankle a little misleading I would say. I noticed some reviewer‘s mention long laces. I like long laces, I use them for double knotting so my shoes do not come untied during the day. Anybody that wears boots should always double knot to prevent that cumbersome or embarrassing situation. The Vibram soul is a plus. i’ve been buying Danner‘s for some 35 years and like all companies they all have their Chevy Vega‘s and Ford Pinto‘s but Danner‘s had very few and I don’t think the striker is one of them other than that zipper waterproof flap cutting a little low I think it’s gonna be a pretty good boot if you don’t wander in anything more than a bit of a mud puddle. Another good thing about Danner is the insoles are removable so you can put your own preferred type in if you like as I do since there’s don’t have enough arch support for my particular liking.

Have waited about five months to review. For the first month I was questioning spending the money on these boots as they just did not seem comfortable. With that said, all of a sudden these boots broke in and it is like walking on pillows. Very happy with the support and the comfort. Getting the waterproof was an added extra and is worth it after all the rain we have been getting. With the waterproofing, the boots are a little hotter, but really not worth complaining about as the boot seems to do a good job of not getting too hot. Again I must say, very happy with these boots and will buy again. Boots are true to size as I ordered my regular size and they fit great.

The Danner quality is top shelf. I normally wear about a 12-W shoe, with my most comfortable shoe being a Sketchers 12EEE slip-on loafer. That said, I was looking for a quality boot for the wet, slippery, and clay packed grounds of the Carolina Sandhills. I read reviews on these boots that mentioned them running about a half size smaller, so being a boot I went with the 13 X-wide. The size choice was perfect. The traction is great, and the zipper makes taking on and off easy. Making a Paratrooper Vet with a couple artificial knees very happy about not having to bend and lace up every time. I got them laced to a comfortable fit, and now it's just a zip in and out of them. I will be recommending these to others in the future.

These boots are super comfortable with fantastic arch support. The size zip makes them very easy to take off and put on quickly. But, they do not last long enough to warrant a $200 purchase. I've had these boots for almost 3 months. The sole is coming away from the toe on the left boot and after stepping into the shallowest of puddles, for some time after, the right boot releases an audible air leak with every step. It's really annoying. Danner website says they only honor their warranty for purchases made from their site and to seek help from whomever sold the boots to me. I don't even see an option to contact the seller on Amazon. I hope this review reaches them and they offer help. I still owe 2 months of payments for them and they're pretty much ruined. I have a pair of danner trakwelts that are over a year old that have taken a beating but nothing wrong with them.

Awesome boots. These serve well in Wisconsin during the cool months. Very comfortable for long days on your feet. Can’t beat danner quality. Would not recommend for summer boots.

I liked everything about them especially the comfort they provided right out of the box it was amazing I was in desperate need of a pair of shoes that helped my feet I’ve been having problems with them hurting me for years now but they helped more than I could imagine it’s been surreal thank you Danner.

Beat boot in the world for law enforcement or security work. Literally the Cadillac of boots!! After wearing these you will feel like you need a Cape!

These boots are very comfortable. They are well made as I know Danners to be. I own another pair of Danner high top tactical boots I have had for 24 years. Great Deal
