Great for protecting arms when clearing brush!
I've been clearing endless, dense brush with loppers and a chainsaw (mostly grey dogwood, prickly ash, honeysuckle, common buckthorns). Between branches and prickers, my arms were all scratched up every time I spent the day clearing, until I started using these; no more scratches! Prevents branches and small prickers from scratching (invasive Multiflora rose, wild blackberry/raspberry, prickly ash tree) but larger thorns (buckthorn trees) can still get through if they hit at a 90 degree angle (but less damaging to my skin with these). I've used them for at least 60 hours, the outer material has fuzzied a little but still just as effective. I highly recommend these for protecting your arms from dense brush and prickers. Perfect for what I bought them for but not perfect in a couple other ways I don't care about. I bought the 9-14 inch size, my biceps are 12 inches when flexed, they're definitely tight but not uncomfortable. The thumb hole lining puts too much pressure at the base of my thumb (cutting off circulation), but I always wear work gloves, so now I pull the sleeves up to the top of my arm so the thumb hole sits at my wrist. After the first wash they turned a washed out black/gray but I don't wear them for fashion so it doesn't matter to me. Your arms will definitely sweat in hot weather with these on... but you're working outside in hot weather, so your body is sweating in general.

Outstanding Sleeve Protection for arms
Outstanding product. Saved my old arms from many cuts and scratches from plants. Every time I cleaned my yard last year, I use to look like a cat clawed me but not now. Highly recommend and I have already told friends about them. Thank you for a great product.

Keeps the poison ivy off; Not as long as pictured.
Pulling up poison ivy & other weeds, I often got a rash no matter how long the pair of gloves I used. So I invented a product similar to this one, out of the legs of a worn-out pair of blue jeans. But I eventually decided, someone must have made a better version of the same thing; this is it. It keeps the poison ivy away. A little warm on a hot day, but not as hot as wearing a long-sleeve shirt, and it gives you better protection than a shirt. Resists thorns too. (They claim it is resistant to cutting, but I haven't got into any knife-fights wearing these yet. Nor have a done any blacksmithing, so can't comment on burn protection). They are tight to get on. Also, not as long as in the illustration. The picture shows the sleeves extending mid-way up the upper arm; mine barely reaches my elbow. My guess is the model was very small, like one of Thorin Oakenshield's men. I recommend getting the larger size. Also, I don't like the red skull logo. It makes you look like you're in some weird cult. But all-in-all, a good product. I'm going to order a long pair, & give the first pair I ordered to a short-armed friend.

Not right for me.
These don’t fit me well. (150# avg female) Mostly because they feel stiff and thick in the hand section, and also they don’t feel very secure when tightened at my upper arm. I think this is a factor of the fabric. It’s relatively stiff. Which is probably good for protection but I would be always worried they would slide off.

Protect my arms.
I have bought several pairs of these because sadly I keep losing them. I volunteer and an animal shelter and these are great helping from accidental scratches. They’re great in the winter because they provide warmth and not too hot in the summer. The material is soft fit perfectly. You can roll them down or push them up.

Very nice product. I'm a fire artist and I got this to protect my arms when I do certain moves where there's contact with fire. To test out the sleeve, i held it over fire for 10 seconds and it didn't catch fire. I also tried wearing the sleeves and holding my arm over fire, and though the sleeves got warm, my arm was safe for a few seconds. Just the black colour of the area in contact with the fire faded. Happy so far. Excited to try spinning fire with these on!

Really impressed with these arm protection sleeves. Material is strong (lets see who wins the war next time a plant decides to bite when I am gardening) Fit is excellent. No regrets or complaints with this purchase.
