Worked as stated with Apple HomeKit
For those who have the Apple TV with matter support this makes it a cheaper way to add colour bulbs to your home and control them via the Apple Home app. Setup was straight forward and it just works so great product.

Awful reliability
I bought 8 of these initially for my downstairs. Setup with HomeKit was relatively easy, and once I had them all working I felt quite content. Occasionally I saw the connectivity would drop out, so updated all the bulbs to the latest software and ensured I did the same with my phone and HomePod minis. After a day or so, I noticed the bulbs would constantly go offline or take 20+ seconds to respond to a command. Using the Nanoleaf app, I could see that the bulbs were connecting to thread, disconnecting, switching to Bluetooth over and over. It wasn’t an issue with where the border router was placed as it was in the same room, and the bulbs were no greater than 1.5 meters apart (with most in one room and hallway being less than a meter away). I then added bulbs to my upstairs, and that’s where it all fell apart completely. My house is not large, and thread is designed to ensure that the network stays permanently connected even if one device goes offline. This did not happen. When one bulb went offline, all of them did - and it took either removing and completely factory resetting then to get everything working again. Once everything was working, after 20 minutes it would all happen again. I also use thread/matter devices from Eve and Aqara, placed at extreme ends of my house. These devices work perfectly and have never once lost connection. They respond instantly. This has demonstrated these these Nanoleaf bulbs are simply not fit for use. I’d understand it more if it was one faulty bulb, but I bought 14 of these and every single of them does it. If you are thinking of buying these, I beg you to reconsider. I’ve returned all of them, and will never buy from Nanoleaf again. Don’t let the more premium price tag fall you - these are simply awful products and you will have a nightmare using them. Instead I’ve begun using Wi-Fi bulbs from Meross, which respond instantly and have never once gone offline. Avoid these like the plague.

Brighter and deeper colours than cheaper bulbs
Decided to splash out on some decent matter bulbs as I am using siri more than the others… These bulbs have been more reliable so far and the colours and brightness are spot on. Shame about LiFX going but these seem a good mid-range bulb!

Good value, bright white light
This bulb for the money is actually very good, it’s way cheaper than Philips Hue and is just as bright. The only slight downsides would say are, some of the temperature colours are a little bit off, especially at the orange end, in comparison to Hue White Ambiance, although I tend to have it in adaptive lighting mode anyway. The colours are not too bad either, probably on par with the Hue which isn’t up to much either if we’re honest. The Thread functionality is very quick to react and so far I’m happy with these.

Not as advertised - doesn’t support HomeKit adaptive lighting
The non-matter version of this product supports adaptive lighting within Apple home. It’s an awesome feature that changes the colour temp of the bulbs with the day/sun. This matter version does not support that feature within Apple home - even though it states it on the Apple website!! - confirmed by Nanoleaf support today. The cheaper, older models without matter support do support it. It is worth mentioning that you can do this feature within the nano leaf app - but the colours are wildly different and I couldn’t get it to sync with my other adaptive bulbs. Will be sending this one back and replacing with the cheaper, more feature rich bulbs. (Threads is good for 20 ish devices so as long as you’re all apple home + threads + HomePods/tvs you’ll be better off with the older gen!)

It doesn't Matter!!!!
Spent a day trying to get this bulb to add and then stay connected viaatter with my Amazon Echo inbuilt Thread Boarder router.. sometimes it would would work. You think great then check Alexa app 1 hour later and device shows unresponsive. First and last Nanoleaf product.

Not HomeKit compatible as advertised
It’s not HomeKit compatible as advertised or mine is not working with my HomeKit i’ve tried doing tech support with Apple and we can’t get it to work. All the settings are right on my side for it to be working which are fairly simple to do not complex but will not work in Apple HomeKit.
