MokerLink 10 Port Gigabit PoE Switch - 8 GE PoE+, 2 GE Uplink, 10/100/1000Mbps, 120W 802.3af/at, Fanless Plug & Play Ethernet Switch

It starts with a Yeacom ODU staring straight at a cell phone tower, 10 feet above the ground, behind this building. (T-Mobile Home) A long, almost 100 foot, Ethernet cable connects that to a TP-Link BE550 (9300) WiFi router. (That WiFi is turned off.) From there, it goes to unmanaged 2.5 GB switches. Then it goes to the computers, of course, and four NAS's - two 4 Bay Asustors, a Ugreen 4 bay, and a Synology 4 bay. The Asustors are dual 2.5 GB, the Synology is dual gigabit, and the Ugreen is single 2.5 gigabit. I also have two Cudy BE3600 WiFi AP's, each with two 2.5 GB ports. So! I have plenty of 2.5GB switches. One of those is also a Mokerlink and it's been working flawlessly, perfectly, 24/7 since late 2023. But! I needed a 2.5 GB PoE switch, because of the Cudy's, and of course, the more ports and the more speed, the better,because the PoE switch it's replacing is only Gigabit. I started shopping, a lot harder than your typical shopper. Turns out by the time you get to 2.5 GB AND PoE, you're still getting up into the "big Bucks" department. You always get a 10 GB port, whether you need it or not, and you never get the SFP module. To me, that's a pretty small waste of money. Other than that, this switch is exactly what I needed; no more, no less. And the price was quite reasonable! I disconnected the gigabit switch and connected this one. First pleasant surprise! It has a computer style power connector!! 100-240 volts!! No wall wart!! I love that! I powered it up. I started from the right, due to Ethernet cable lengths. In port 8: Not sure... Either to the living room or the bedroom - only Gigabit; I plugged it in. Orange light on. Port 7: Rear Cudy BE3600. Orange and green lights on. Port 6: Front Cudy BE3600 AP. Orange and green lights on. Port 5: [From] TP-Link BE550 (9300). Orange and green lights on. In other words, everything is working flawlessly! Two solid blue lights on the Copy AP's, which means they have power and are up and running! I need to get things cleaned up, of course. 4 ports left over on this one is nice!! This building is cinder block; even one of the inside walls. Getting those Cudy's installed proved to be quite an ordeal, with the cables running above a 10 foot dropped ceiling; that had priority, but now I needed to make sure this switch works; it's been quite a while. I like to read the one star reviews first, when I buy something expensive that matters. It's like making sure you eat before you go grocery shopping. I did that here, and they don't match my experience, today, at all!! (Unless it breaks right away.) I'll try HARD to update this review if it does break and if I'm able! (WWIII, Stroke, Heart Attack, whatever...) (I try not to break any promises...) For right not, I'm very happy!! In this particular case, the RJ-45's in the front is good! It's sitting on a fairly high shelf in here. It looks nice! It's heavy enough to feel like it's not a piece of junk. Then there's that other Mokerlink I have that's already been time-tested. Once again - I LOVE the power cord instead of a wall wort!! The price was nice!! And there's a good chance some of the one star reviewers didn't actually completely understand what they were doing. I like it!! A lot!! DEFINITELY 5 STARS unless it breaks!!! And a shout-out to whoever thought of 2.5 GB, to avoid tens of thousands of dollar$ and more copper than there is on the planet, for 10 GB!! Sigh... OK: The [signal quality] and [bandwidth] are plenty sufficient, there IS no [setup], and it's EXTREMELY [ease of use] compatible, if you plugged it all in right.

This Mokerlink POE switch is PERFECT! I currently use it to power my 2 Reolink POE cameras and 1 POE TCP/IP Zigbee controller. It doesn't even get warm. One of my cameras sits on a 100ft cable run and it works perfectly fine. I'm really impressed with this POE switch for the cost. It's reasonably priced and plug and play. I had no issues setting it up and it includes everything you'd need to get it going. I'll probably buy another one of these POE switches to have for future expansion of my network.

I wanted to improve the internal backbone of my wireless for data transfers to my NAS, and was recommended this brand. I also wanted to PoE my Ubiquiti AP7 pro. This did both swimmingly, for a relatively dirt cheap price. Would buy again.

This is a review of 8 x 2.5Gbe POE switch with 10G SFP+. So far, I really like this switch especially given its price point. It's been deployed to an attic in the Great Lakes area which should be safe given the advertised operating temp/humidity ranges. It's being used with Ubiquiti gear both upstream/downstream and seems to be passing the VLAN tags without issue. The SFP+ port successfully negotiated at 10Gbe despite a 100+ ft CAT6 run and uncertified SFP+ module. Both devices I tested with successfully negotiated at 2.5Gbe. As seen in the screenshot, my computer was able to get the full bandwidth too. I repeated the test multiple times with only very slight variations in the jitter. Testing was performed while an WIFI-7 access point and 5 4K/2K cameras were actively transmitting data and using bandwidth. Finally, it's been providing POE to a WIFI-7 access point, 5 cameras, and 1 switch in over 90 degree weather. Ubiquiti says these devices have a max combined max consumption up to 66W.

I'm currently running two of these switches trunked through the 10G fiber ports on the bottom of my 10" rack. I didn't find many reviews on them but decided to give them a chance. The webgui is pretty intuitive as long as you have a baseline of networking tech. I was told by my senior engineer that there's no way I'm getting 2.5G through these, so I spent a significant amount of time with iperf. The results were astounding! I averaged about 2.38 Gbps from one computer trunked through 2 of these switches to a mini pc! A bonus to these is that they really don't get very hot or use much power, about 5w at idle! I've been using these for a year now and I think I've more than got my money's worth out of them.

I purchased 3 of these and all were setup with no issues. They worked the very first time I connected everything. Could not have asked for an easier setup. Initially, they were connected to my main router via ethernet, but then I upgraded to fiber and the switch over was seamless. I reached out to support on what type of SFP+ module I should use and they replied in less than 24-hours and provided direct links to modules I should consider. Those modules worked perfectly the first time. I am very pleased with these switches.

Easy set up and installation. Truly plug and play. Plug in your Internet and the switch is good to go.

This is a very simple PoE switch, this is not a passive PoE switch but an actual PoE+ switch. If you are needing a PoE switch to power cameras, wireless access points or phones via single ethernet cable it is very important that you know what kind of device you have to make sure it can draw power from this switch. Most of my older cameras and access points are passive PoE -- this switch cannot deliver power to those devices as it only supports the newer PoE+ power delivery. Most devices pull less than 5 or 10 watts when powered over ethernet, but you have a pretty good amount of power that this switch can provide which puts it ahead of the other similar switches (120 watts total power delivery). If your using this for security cameras you can most likely safely connect all 8 ports and not be near that max power delivery. Really with this kind of wattage your going to probably be fine for a good mix of phones, access points and cameras. This is not a managed switch but you do have 3 modes to potentially take advantage of, but if your looking for the other two modes your probably not the intended audience for this switch. The V (VLAN) mode isolates all ports into separate VLAN's, I didnt test how this works, and the documentation that comes with the switch does not even mention the switches (it is only mentioned here on this product page). The D mode is the one you should just leave it in as it is the default operating mode where it acts like a normal un-managed PoE+ switch. The E mode is supposed to drop the port speed to 10Mbit (instead of 1Gbit) to allow for longer link stability. If you running a cable long enough that stability is in question your probably doing something wrong). Overall this little switch has been running for a while without any surprises. I took a star of for poor documentation but other than that, this makes a great switch for newer PoE cameras.

I thought these units were defective/flawed after I was getting 0.09mbps download speeds. I returned one unit and then contacted support when the 2nd unit was doing the same thing. They suspected my DAC SFP+ cable was the issue (although it works perfectly fine in my other Zyxel switch), so I purchased the 10GTek Optical SFP+ modules and cable, and that did the trick. My DAC cable wasn't defective, but it was somehow incompatible.

Using this in my office in my family home. Speeds are constant and collisions are well handled.

Ottimo switch e fa quello che propone. Lo uso per collegare degli Access Point PoE a 2,5G. Lo switch ha un porta SFP alla quale si può aggiungere un altro modulo ed avere eventualmente una porta RJ45 aggiuntiva se si ha la necessità. Ottima fattura e sembra dissipare molto bene il calore

un switch poe permet de brancher au réseau une caméra de surveillance ou autre appareil compatible poe et en se passent de l'alimentation électrique au niveau de l'appareil, ce qui simplifié l'installation des caméras par exemple (on tire simplement les câbles rj45 et pas besoin de câble électriques dans ce cas là ) Le switch fonctionne bien dans l'état surtout sur le switch source (input) est compatible poe donc c'est lui qui fournit le courant électrique et la nôtre switch se contentera de faire le relai (c'est le cas le plus classique et nominal). J'ai pu brancher mes 4 cameras de surveillance dessus sans problème en évitant le casse tête de tirage des fils électriques. les 10 ports disponibles offre une bonne flexibilité et devrait couvrir la majorité des cas d'utilisation domestiques. Donc switch très fonctionnel, de bonne qualité de fabrication, les ports sont solides et fonctionnent très bien pour alimenter des caméras ou tout appareils compatible POE avec un débit proche du wire speed.
