Super easy install. We had old MR16 basement lights. The old home owner installed them incorrectly (too big of a hole cut out), looked terrible, wired dangerously, etc etc. I didn't think I was capable of this project. However, I gave it a shot. Ripped out the old lights and housing and upgraded/downsized to these. Originally, we were quoted $1500 to redo the lights in our basement. After we got used to it, it took us at most 2 hours to replace 9 MR16 lights with the new LED fixtures. The plastic snap in wire connectors are *chef kiss*, making it super easy to connect wires...I didn't even know these existed.A week after install, the remote stopped working so I reached out to the manufacturer - they were quick to send steps on how to remedy the situation, which didn't work. They sent a new remote. No luck. Turns out both remotes needed new batteries so just keep that in mind. I just connected the smart hub to Tuya and it's working well too. Note: CR2025 batteries are what the remotes take but they are interchangeable with CR2032

These used to be great until the manufacturer removed the color memory feature. If the lights are turned off from A physical light switch, they will revert back to cool white. If your preference is any other shade of white or if you set these to a color every time someone win turns The light switch on or off The lights revert back to cool white. This change makes the lights unusable for most homes. They expect you to not use a physical switch, but to rather use the app the problem with the app is scheduling automatic on and off times does not work reliably and Wi-Fi chips used in these lights are awful and not reliable. Hope they add the color memory back I can’t help but to notice the cost decrease on these probably because no one is buying them anymore. We were buying upwards of $4000 a month worth of thes lights a month prior to this change. Hopefully someone in there management reads this.

Smart color control stopped working after a few months. Theyre just regular lights now. Maybe spend more money?

They were easy to install and the app works well.They can be a but temperaments with the wifi.The color is great, but you can't get some of the colors in a true shade. As the yellow in this pic

If I could take away stars, I would, but by default I have to give it 1 star. These lights are terrible. If you’re looking for a light that will simply turn on and off, always set to bright white, these are for you. In other words, if you’re looking for a light that produces the ugliest color white you can imagine, and has no ability to change to anything more attractive, then by all means click “buy” and order these right now. However, if you’re looking for a light that will actually do what it says and connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, you know, like virtually every other product made in 2024, then STAY AWAY FROM THESE. I installed 24 of these in my soffits for accent lights. I wanted the ability to change colors for different holidays, themes etc. Although they did connect individually when first installed, they lost connection within 24hrs and now will not reconnect no matter what I do. I’ve added Wi-Fi extenders, I’ve changed my router, etc. Every other device in my home connects to Wi-Fi with no issues at all. These lights are garbage. And, for the short period I could get them to connect, I also found that the app is garbage. It feels like an app that was created in the early 2000’s before people actually cared about how apps felt while using them. It’s quite possible that this app was created as a class project for a group of 8th graders leading how to code for the first time.I’m furious that I’ll now have to not only spend another several hundred dollars to get a better product, but I’ll also have to go to the trouble of changing all of these out.Unfortunately I ordered them well in advance of when I would need them, so now I’m stuck with them and cannot return.Don’t make the same mistake as me. If you’re on the fence about these, let me help you decide… do not buy.

it's app connectivity has many bugs, it is hard to set on a specific color

The lights are nice. Bright and lots of color choices however the app is very complicated to figure out. Luckily it connects with Google so I set up all my automation there. Less color choices through Google but much easier to figure out.
