I have tried well over 20 products to try and get rid of cat urine smell and discoloration. Some products helped to reduce the smell, others would just mask it. Discoloration was easiest to remove. However, the smell remained and I was at a loss. Then, my dad recommended Urine Off. Honestly, I was skeptical. I've tried so many other products that had awesome reviews and were guaranteed to work, but they didn't for me. We removed the damaged carpet in our house and the concrete was stained from urine. (I was appalled and extremely embarrassed! I had no idea the damage was this bad.) I followed the instructions - directly poured product onto concrete, scrubbed, let sit overnight. (I didn't have large enough plastic to cover it, so I used a camping tarp and it worked great!) I treated the concrete on 3 consecutive nights ( didn't scrub the last night). The stains actually disappeared along with the odor!! We have put down new flooring and my cats have stopped urinating outside the litter box! I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to replace flooring in a pet household. I can't guarantee results for anyone else, but this is my honest review and this is the ONLY product that had worked 100% for my needs. I do wish this product was cheaper, but with the results I got, I would not hesitate to purchase it again. ** EXTRA INFO ** I have 5 cats. I never had an issue with them urinating outside of the litter box, until my elderly dog started to have incontinence issues. My dog peed on the carpet once and the cat's followed suit. I tried all kinds of other cleaners, air fresheners, used a Rug Doctor more times than I can count, and even had the carpet professionally cleaned. Nothing completely got rid of the odor. With the odor still present, the cats continued to pee on the carpet. I had no idea the urine had soaked so deep and had actually crystallized in the concrete. If you are having similar issues, you HAVE to treat the concrete to resolve the issue. We replaced our carpet with LVP flooring (waterproof planks). We chose this option because it is much easier to see pet messes on the floor and address them before the smell sets in. Because it is waterproof, it also helps to protect the concrete from additional damage. However, since treating the concrete and replacing the flooring, the cats have stopped voiding outside the litter box. We did also move 1 litter box to a new location on the other end of our house, to provide more litter box locations, which may have helped as well.

After going through several bottles of Rocco and Roxie, I desperately tried this, and lo and behold - IT WORKED! Holy cow, I'm going to keep a stash of this! I have a neurotic rescue cat who chooses not to use the litter box some times and we have cleaned and enzymed and steam cleaned about 10 times and there was still a funky scent. To be honest the R&R smells so bad that we weren't sure what evil combination of smells we were smelling...anyway - this stuff, the UrineOff, was immediately effective - as in, you could tell as soon as you put it down that it was working and it smells great!! It smells clean and fresh, and there is NO odor of cat pee left. I wouldn't have believed it after spending almost 100$ on repeated bottles of the R&R failing and stinking so badly. I will say that like the R&R, you may have to do repeated rounds. Here is the best way I've found to use any of these enzyme cleaners. After soaking up any urine with papertowels (if it's fresh), soak, and I mean SOAK the area with the UrineOff. I poured it directly on large areas for the first round, but changed to the stream setting on a sprayer for the next 3 rounds. Directions say NOT to scrub, but I did pat down the carpet once it was soaked to make sure it soaked all the way in. At first I mass treated a broad area to get any urine that had spread out from the original spot. I used a water mister to keep the area wet since the enzymes work as long as it's moist and stop when it dries up. I'd do one or two treatments to the carpet per day (working remote now helps). For the third and fourth rounds, I literally got down and stuck my nose a half inch from the carpet and did the ol smell test to locate any last hard hit spots. I have a UV light to help ID new spots, but once you start enzyme treatments, urine won't show up with UV because it's down deeper in the carpet, so get yer nose in it (well, close to it, not IN it..)! So the last 2 rounds (3&4) were spot treatment only for the corner of the living room that she chose and that I did 2 'broader' applications of the treatment on initially. Let it sit for at least 2 hours or until dry. DO NOT STEAM CLEAN YET if the smell is not all gone or you will just disperse the urine (and the smell) and you will have to go back and do it again but over a larger area! This product does really work well, but you have to commit to the process or you are just wasting money and time. It may take several rounds, in fact, unless you have a tiny kitten that just squirted a little, it probably will take several rounds in whatever area the urine is in. With the R&R - the smell of the enzyme cleaner was so bad it was giving us all headaches and stomachaches. The smell of urine was almost better..... but UrineOff not only works better, it smells about 100000 times better and no headaches or stomach aches. When you're finally done with however many rounds needed - THEN steam clean it. Steam cleaning, even with the resolve pet odor remover product, will only spread around the urine stink if you didn't get it all - I cannot emphasize that enough. With the R&R, I intensely steam cleaned afterwards - in my mind, it had to be working after doing 50 passes with the steamer and then the additional Resolve pet cleaner..... I was wrong. You won't even know it till a day or so later when you're sitting around and the scent hits you like a slightly citrus scented pee train. Blech. Learn from my mistakes! You're welcome! Urine Off works. Roll up your sleeves and get to it. You CAN get rid of cat urine, but you're going to probably have to work for it a bit. Once you're ok with that, you've got it. ;)

PASSES THE SMELL TEST! I am only reviewing the odor-removal capabilities of this product. I don't have carpeted floors and my cat doesn't go on any fabric. So I can't review for those qualities. -------------------------------------------------- I have an older cat who has gotten quite lazy. She's decided that there's no reason she should bother stepping all the way into the litter box when she can just step in half way and urinate over the side! It works fine for her - and takes fewer steps!! She was driving me CRAZY! And ruining the hardwood floor at the same time. One day it occurred to me I could just put a large flat diaper under the litter box right in the path of where she goes. That works great. Except of course - it only takes about 6 hours before it starts stinking in there. Diapers as you know, don't have any odor control! A few days later it dawned on me that maybe I could use one of those odor removal products on the diaper - just so I wouldn't have to change it every 6 hours! Urine Off was the first one I tried... mostly because it came in an industrial-sized container. Anyway, it has been AWESOME! I pour some into a spray bottle and then I spray the diaper whenever she goes. And it kills the odor instantly. And I don't even have to spray the spot every time. It seems one dose is enough for several of her urinations. I now change the diaper... you're gonna die when I tell you and I know no one would recommend going this long - but I promise you this is all I need to change it... once every THREE weeks! Urine Off literally completely kills the odor on a diaper that the cat is going on several times everyday... for up to three weeks! It amazes me. I can't speak to what it does with stains or if it repels the cat from going in that spot. Although I don't think it does because if it did she wouldn't go near her litter box anymore. So for my purposes this is the perfect product, because I didn't actually want something that would repel her. In reading the product description they don't claim that it does repel cats afterwards - only that it removes odor. And that I can attest it does very well! So if it's odor you're worried about - UrineOff is definitely you're product!

This would be a 5 star review if it hadn't been one little quirk: Cons: 1) shape of the jug and handle creates a mess when trying to pour product into a smaller spray bottle - I use two of these Rubbermaid Commercial FG9C0301 HDPE 3.3 cc Spray Trigger . I have experienced a little more waste than I would like. This was solved by a funnel. Pros: 1) I like the smell, it's almost fruity. The smell does not bother our cats at all. 2) We use multiple Booda Dome Cleanstep Cat Box, Titanium boxes for our 6 kitties and this stuff does a remarkable job of cleaning any urine spray off of the sides/edges of the dome. Some of our older cats aren't quite as accurate with the litter box because of hip issues. Urine off cleans old urine smell and stains off of litter box surfaces with one swipe. This is strong stuff. It is working for cat smells (urine, vomit, feces). It isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive. I'll definitely keep using this going forward despite my 3-star review. It seems to do the best job compared to the stuff I've bought off of Amazon and from the Big Box stores. Update: April 2013 - the Spring has brought some scout ants (tiny ones - little black ants I believe) and a spritz on the spot kills them and allows me to clean some of the areas too. For all the different pet safe ant remedies I have tried, this one is AWESOME. Just an extra use for the stuff. Awesome!!!

As a decades long cat rescue person, this is the first product I've ever bought and tried that actually REMOVES all the cat urine and its horrifically pungent aroma! Unlike other supposed "enzyme based cleaners" designed to do this, Urineoff does the trick! Even cats with their dramatically heightened sense of smell detect no whiff once this product is used properly. It saves me so much money and time!

First, props to the vendor, Entirely Pets, who have consistently had the lowest price for this product. Orders always arrive within the indicated delivery dates as well. Second & regarding the product itself, having a number of cats, including one that has a urinating problem in the house, has shown to me that the product is a mixed blessing, if you will. It clearly removes the smell of cat urine. However, it has a distinct chemical odour of its own, which may linger for days. Between the two I'll take the chemical odour, but it can be a bit strong, especially if your house is closed up. And I do not believe the product removes/breaks down the urine as much or as well as one might hope as any area that has been treated still appears to be of interest to my cats. My best results are obtained by following the directions precisely. I recommend purchasing a wet/dry vac (five-gallon size is a nice compromise between portability and power) to: (1) extract as much urine out of the carpet/area (perhaps wetting with water first if the stain is not very fresh), (2) pour, not spray, Urine Off onto stain area, extending beyond the stain by at least 50%, (3) let sit for five to seven minutes, (4) vacuum up, and (5) repeat. (I do not recommend applying water to the Urine Off to help pull it up from the stain as that seems to leave a light discolouration on lighter coloured carpet) While I cannot state that I believe this product is the perfect solution, I think it is superior to any other product I have tried over the past few years.

Our cat decided to get into a peeing match between a neighborhood cat through our basement door (which leads to a stairwell accessible from outdoors). We hadn't gone into that area of the basement for a while, and were clueless that this was happening until one hot, humid rainy day where the stench came up the basement stairs into our house. We thought it was the litter box, which I gave a thorough cleaning, but this was not it. After a quick search, I found the area - a wooden door and concrete floor (both exterior and interior). I tried all of the typical products - vinegar (full strength), bleach (full strength), Nature's Miracle, but nothing worked. I did some research online for getting cat urine out of concrete floors, and it was recommended to first clean the floor with TSP (found at Home Depot) to open up the pores of the concrete and then come in with a heavy duty bio-enzymatic cleaner to soak into the concrete and destroy the odor causing elements. I treated the floor with bleach, and let dry for a few days, treated with vinegar and let dry for a few days, before cleaning with the TSP according to manufacturer instructions. This whole time, I barricaded the area off from our cat so he wouldn't get into these chemicals. After the area thoroughly dried (and still smelled at this point - honestly I think it was worse after the TSP treatment because it opened up the pores in the concrete), I doused it with two spray bottles worth of this cleaner and let it dry for a few days. It has been almost a month now, and there's no trace of cat urine. There was about one day of an intense "perfume" smell, but that dissipated pretty quickly in our case. We've had more hot humid rainy days, where there was water coming into other areas of the basement, but NO SMELL!! This is truly a lifesaver, as this area of the basement is mostly finished except the floor, which was painted due to lack of ceiling clearance) and my wife and I refused to hang out and play video games in the basement due to the smell. Now, we are back to throwing darts and playing games down there with our friends. What a relief!

You know what they say, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. We have a male cat that was locked out of his litter box for several days by the person who was house sitting for us while we were away on vacation. Fortunately he focused his business in one spot on an area rug over carpet. I rolled up the rug and sent it off to the cleaners, then set off to tackle the carpet underneath. Initially I went after it with my deep cleaning carpet machine. After a couple passes it was clear that I wasn't getting the odor out - the smell was still incredibly sharp. Then I did some research and found this stuff. Although I was skeptical the principle of an enzyme-based cleaner seemed reasonable, and besides I felt my only other option at this point was to replace the carpet. Long story short-ish, 3 gallons, 4 heavy applications, and $120 later I have only succeeding in saturating my carpet with even more gunk that now needs to be cleaned. The urine smell is still as bad as ever. After repeated applications this stuff built up a somewhat waxy substance in the carpet. so now I'm back to the deep clean machine - just hot water now - to get all of this crap out of the carpet so I can try something else. I've made several passes already and it has been a foamy mess - building up in the machine and spilling over so that I have to keep stopping and cleaning the reservoir. Unfortunately if you're in the same situation as me - dealing with cat urine odor - I don't have a solution for you, but I can tell you this is not it.

Cat accident on a brand new carpet. We tried a number of products and was thinking we might need to take the carpet up so we spent a little more on this product and wish we had invested in it first. We went overboard on the application and it did take about 4 days to dry properly even in the hot weather but it worked amazingly. Brilliant product.
