We purchased this gate to contain our Jack Russell Terrier puppy. It was easy to install, looks great, self closes (mostly) and is incredibly well made. It is so great, we purchased two more! Our kids are grown, but old baby gates were wobbly plastic contraptions. This gate is a strong, professional version of those old gates. If this gate is an option for you, don’t hesitate!

Hello. With the arrival of a 3-month old Aussie in the home, dog gates are a must to contain the cute, but rambunctious, high throttle, and full-time energy puppy. I usually dont write reviews, but this product was 100% spot on the money. Honestly, I always start when reading reviews, with the Four Stars, because lets face it, nothing is perfect. Here are bullets for your quick perusal. The Good (in no particular order): 1. The size options are optimal options for almost any indoor doorway. 2. The gate durability, craftsmenship and design are very sturdy, stable, and long lasting. 3. Hardware is ideal and easy to assemble within the gate and by hand screw turns to press against the door frame. 4. The gate stays very firmly in place. I had purchased other similar models from Regalio gates and they were always a struggle to keep in place, either with humans pushing too hard on the gate or the dog, allowing them to fall over with a firm push. 5. The door opens easily in either direction, when pushing down on the button and lifting the door to and from. The Bad - honestly, I have had the gate over a week, and have yet to find a negative. If one surfaces, I will update this section. Overall - the weight, sturdiness, color and effectiveness of the product is two thumbs up, and yes of course, 4 stars.

I purchased two others prior to this one, both of them accommodated a larger/wider width. Had issues with these first two, the bottom latch seemed to be very securely wedged-in, I was unable to force it up and out, I couldn't open the door. In retrospect, I suppose I could have tightened the "support screws" too tightly (compression method/no hardware required), compressing the unit a bit and preventing the door to open. Needless to say, this product, the same company as one of the previous ones I purchased, is very good. Very easy to install, very easy to open the door, we love the stay-open option for when babies are sleeping etc.. there is no "walking plate" on this version, or at least this one did not come with it. One of the larger units I returned had it, so as long as you don't mind the bar on the bottom, this is absolutely excellent, I highly recommend it. Works very well with a staircase railing adjoining a wall on the other side too. Highly recommend.

Nice gate. We'll made. Installation was easy. However did not suite my purpose. My two 6 month old cats squeezed right through the poles.

This didn’t let me add this pic for some reason on my last review!! Hopefully my review went through as it disappeared when I tried retaking the photo again!!! NOT HAPPY!!! **ORIGINAL REVIEW- I've worked OVER 12 HOURS trying to install this new gate!!! It said it was supposed to be a SIMPLE INSTALLATION so I thought I would get it as I have arthritis in my hands, well overnight 12 HOURS LATER it's still NOT installed!! I've tried all different ways to get the bolts in far enough into the gate so it could fit into those little cups, last night I could get two bolts into the cups (on the same side) but I couldn't get the other two on the other side. Then this morning I put on a sticky gripping glove and I finally got one of the bolts on the other side in far enough BUT NOT that last bolt!! It wouldn't go far enough in in order for it to fit into that cup into the doorway but yet all of the other bolts went in enough but yet the gate was STUCK in that doorway which is to my kitchen where my pups are and where my medicine is!! And it says DON'T CUT THOSE TIES TO THE GATE SO I WAS STUCK WITHOUT MY MEDS IN WHICH MY HEART RATE IS EXTREMELY FAST AT 147 bpm which my heart meds is supposed to control but I couldn't get to those meds because the gate was stuck with the three bolts and the one without the sticky cup as it won't fit in there with that cup!! Also I now figure out AFTER ALL OF THIS WORK AND TACHYCARDIA THAT I RECEIVED A BAD BOLT THAT DOESN'T WORK RIGHT (as I tried that same bolt in those other extensions and it didn't work in those either!!) , now I NEED ANOTHER NEW THREADED BOLT AND A COUPLE OF MORE OF THOSE STICKY PADS AS I HAD TO PULL ON THAT ONE SIDE TO GET THE GATE OFF SO I CAN TAKE MY MEDS AND SEE MY PUPS!!!! **A NOTE TO THE COMPANY- PLEASE PUT EXTRA THREADED BOLTS AND STICKY STICKERS IN THE BOX!!!! This was a TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY!!! Hopefully the company will send me these! ** NOTE- this was my ORIGINAL REVIEW that somehow DISAPPEARED OFF OF THE AMAZON WEBSITE!!! This gate is really great - and I've had probably a dozen different brands/models/etc, all the pressure fit type (vs wall mounted). The auto-close feature works better and more reliably/consistently than any other one I've had. The mechanism to unlatch is really user friendly but definitely baby/toddler proof. The only downside is having to also lift; that may just be a downside for me because of muscle weakness. It's not really a problem, but I wish I didn't have to lift it. (Then again, it also ensures no little ones accidentally get through!) The setup was exceedingly simple, and I really appreciate that the package includes a few width adapters so it really fits well in any opening (within the specified range). I did have a small, seemingly inconsequential plastic piece break off a couple weeks after install. The gate functions normally without it, and it doesn't seem to be a pinch hazard. But I contacted the company (because they would know for sure), and they are sending me a replacement gate for free. So that's amazing customer service. 10/10 would buy again, and would try to buy from them for other products!!
