Christmas Gift for Grandson & he's having a Blast Playing it

I’m not a kid, but I love these games. Beat most of the first one, have not completed all the expansions (because they are hard). This is a game that lets you race single player, has online multiplayer and lets you design your own tracks. It’s by far the best modern way to play with Hot Wheels. What’s better than the first? Graphically it is sharper, the first one still looks good. They added new controls for bumping and jumping and you have to get good at jumping to beat several tracks. They implemented different classes of vehicles and challenges that are best completed with different classes of vehicles. Races, time trials, off track obstacle courses and mini game boss battles in single player make for great variety. They added customizable vehicle upgrades which have a real impact on vehicle performance. Overall, it is a much better game and more fun than the original. Cons: Online matchmaking is way too slow. Having to race impossible user created tracks online is not fun. They need to eliminate that and make them optional to play online. Occasionally you will land on the track from a jump and it will not register properly and it will test your vehicle. Overall, this is a great game and very fun to play. If you like arcade racing games, I highly recommend it.

The packaging was great the game disc was fine

Nice graphics, fun game play, not really good at racing games but playing on easy feels way too easy is my only knock. Haptics feel like on PS5 controller, can't imagine playing on the loud clicky xbox controller.
