Carpe Sweat Absorbing Hand Lotion, Warm Vanilla - Fights Hand Sweat

I've had hyperhidrosis for over half my life now. I remember being a teenager, shaking someone's hand, and watching them quietly wipe off their palms on their pants--that's the level of embarrassment this brings on for me. Writing and drawing were hard with the sweat always smudging the pages, and holding someone's hand on a walk? Forget about it. It's gotten to the point that I skipped my own college graduation because walking across a stage to shake someone's hand was that mortifying. Job interviews are a whole other beast entirely. Recently, I had a date and all this embarrassment came back up. She was so awesome, but I felt fidgety and awkward, wanting to touch her but feeling so uncomfortable about my own body. I decided to give this product a try out of pure desperation, and holy s***. It actually works??? Seriously, this is coming from someone who had prescription products in high school that did absolutely nothing for my palmar hyperhidrosis. Within a few days of consistent use, my hand sweat was cut in half. I've been using it for a week and a half now, and while I still have episodes, it's nothing compared to how my hands used to be. In terms of the negatives, a lot of the complaints here are true. The texture of the liquid is pretty tacky, but that consistency actually makes the product stick to your hands. My past prescription was an aqueous solution that I sweated right off. This product, however, actually stays on so long as you thoroughly dry your hands before applying it. It can leave some dusty residue in the creases on your palms, but it's pretty unnoticeable, I'd argue. Another comment mentioned that some of the product dries out around the exit of the tube, meaning it gets wasted. This is also true. You can rub the crusted parts to reactivate them a bit, but mainly, you have to make sure you're using whatever bit comes out of the tube. Otherwise, it goes to waste. Those negatives aside, I really wish I'd found this product sooner. It's not a 100% cure, but it might help decrease the sweating. I mean, I'm going dancing with my date next week--something I never would've had the confidence to do before. (If this doesn't work for you, prescription glycopyrrolate might be a good thing to look into. Best of luck out there!)

I have had a problem with sweaty hands since I was a baby, they would get so sweaty they’d be dripping, and now as an adult with ADHD it feels like they’re sweating almost always. Putting the cream on, it does have a super sticky feeling but that fades shortly after and then leaves them chalky but after washing your hands, it goes away. It also does make your hands dry but nothing lotion won’t fix. After struggling all my life I wouldn’t mind paying double the price, it’s well worth it! I will be buying more!!!

This is a lot of information to throw out there, but I just want you guys to know where I'm coming from when I say this has helped me, because I know I always read reviews before I buy stuff like this! My last paragraph is where I actually talk about the hand lotion. I haven't been officially diagnosed with hyperhidrosis, but I've always had excessively sweaty hands and feet. And I mean EXCESSIVELY sweaty. I grew up in Florida, and I knew I was more of a sweater than most people but I was just used the hot and sticky weather. But I recently moved to Michigan for college (I'm in my second winter here right now) and despite the rest of my body being way more cold and dry my hands and feet STILL sweat more than anyone else I know. I can't wear any of the boots I bought and wore my first winter here because they STANK. Having to wipe my hands on my pants before shaking hands is bad enough, but never being able to take my boots off in public also sucks. I'm a theatre major so I do a TON of contact work with other people in all of my dance/acting/movement classes. I'm frequently in spaces where I have to take my boots off and be barefoot or in socks, and touch people with my slippery hands. Working out/dance classes are more difficult because my hands and feet are so sweaty that they slip. Soooooo, I started putting this Dove Men's deodorant that I had on my feet every morning before putting on socks/tights/whatever for my day. My skin is also, of course, SUPER sensitive, so Dove Men's makes the skin of my armpits peel, and Old Spice gives me chemical burns, BUT the Dove Men's is working wonders on my feet! I love it. Highly recommend, and its cheaper than other options. My feet sweat less and my boots and socks dont smell like death! But after a week or so of deoderant-ing my feet, my HANDS started to sweat more and the worst part...they started smelling like sweat too. I figure that because it wasn't going out my feet, it started going out my hands. Nasty, right? SO, I decided to try this hand antiperspirant and its only been a few days, but its already working wonders. It has a slight de-odorizer smell to it, almost like gold bond foot powder, but it's not overwhelming. You do have to make sure your hands are COMPLETELY dry when you put it on, and give yourself at least a few minutes (I would give it 3-5 for best results) to let it fully absorb and dry. If you don't, then that's when you run into problems with it being sticky and tacky. It's winter here, and my hands are always at their most dry when I'm outside in the cold, so I've been keeping it in my car and applying when I drive somewhere. Usually in the am on my way to class and at night on my way home from rehearsal or work. But I'm going to be home all day today and it's warmer than it has been so I just applied when I woke up and sat with my hands in front of a mini fan like someone in a previous comment suggested, which I'm sure would be a solution for my summer weather friends out there. Mini fan and Voila! My hands are consistely more dry, not all the time of course but I did immediately notice a difference, and no more gross sweat smell. Different strokes for different folks, but I think this product is definitely worth a try if you struggle with sweaty extremities like I do.

This product really helped one of my pitchers who struggled to grip the baseball because his hands would sweat so much. After using Carpe, he was able to maintain a much better grip and pitch with more confidence without constantly wiping his hands. The eucalyptus scent is nice without being overpowering, and the lotion doesn’t leave his hands feeling greasy. Definitely worth trying for athletes who deal with sweaty hands!

I've been using this lotion for probably about 7 or 8 months now and while the first couple of months with it were great, it really helped to reduce the excessive hand sweating I had that was preventing me from using my PC fully, that has recently changed. Instead of providing actual relief from the sweating like it used to after I had done a few weeks of application, it now presents almost more issues than it's worth. The product never properly dries on my hands even in cool rooms with a fan running on them. This leads to situations where the lotion doesn't actually do its full job and while about 80% of my sweating is gone when it finally sets in around 15-20 minutes after application, I now have a gooey feeling film on my hands that's intensified by the sweating that does still occur. When I leave it on while I sleep as I do daily, I wake up and generally it has settled in by then and I'm good for a few hours until it rubs/wears off. Then when I go to reapply, I get the above mentioned issues. It's so frustrating because when it works, it's great. But when it doesn't it's frustrating and kind of demoralizing. I'm very torn on whether I can recommend it or not so given that, I'd say to look to your doctors for more permanent or proper solutions to hand sweating.

At the ripe young age of 11 I hit puberty and developed severe, persistent, overwhelming under arm sweat. A little girl does not want big stinky pit stains. In fact, no one does. During that time in my life my mom and I tried every antiperspirant under the market's sun. I remember running to the bathroom at school, stuffing toilet paper in my shirt until it clumped and pilled because I sweat through that too. I would squat under hand dryers on breaks to dry out my shirts. The only color I wore for years was black because it hid the stains. Yes, it was that bad. Giving people hugs was a problem. Often others would comment on the moisture they felt. Total embarrassment that eventually lead to shame because NOTHING worked. Normal antiperspirant deodorant seemed to make me sweat more, and it also lead to side effects like clogged pores and huge cysts under my armpits (gross). Eventually I stopped using them and resorted to natural deoderants which I would sweat off within minutes. I learned to carry deoderants in my purse at all times. In gym class once the instructor commented on my b.o. and that was the final straw. I started making my own deoderant with a baking soda base which solved my smell problem. The only problem was the sweat. It never went away. Over the years (I'm 27 now) depending on my hormones I can get away with wearing different colored shirts so long as they weren't light grey and I wasn't doing anything the least bit nerve wracking. Any kind of stress lead to me sweating in my armpits to the point of it running down my arms. Ugh!! And don't get my started on hot weather. I also sweat profusely on my hands and my feet during activity, especially hiking. Blisters are my enemy. It's overall a pain in the @** that only people with this condition can truly understand. The social impact is ridiculous to think about. AND I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW LONG I WENT WITHOUT ANY KIND OF RELIEF LIKE THIS PRODUCT HAS PROVIDED. L i f e c h a n g i n g. I tried it tonight and wow, I can't believe I'm dry. After a shower my armpits immediately start sweating like crazy, which sucks because I just got clean! I toweled off and rubbed this in there and on my hands. Yes, I realize this is marketed for your hands. I looked at their products and some are exactly the same. There was no stinging or burning. The rubbing action did make my skin red temporarily. I've used some intense products to help with sweating and they all felt terrible and did little. This was the opposite experience! The only downside for me is the price. The cost per ounce is pretty high. They have a monopoly which probably drives the cost up. I think this should be affordable to anyone that needs it because - wow, I won't go without this from now on. Highly recommend! Be sure to only use it on clean DRY skin. I washed my hands and it's still working. I can feel my body wants to sweat and is warm as always, but it's dry. Bless this company!

Well you guys this stuff actually works! Little background on me, my hands and feet started sweating when I was about 8 years old and it intensified through puberty and got so bad that not only did they sweat buckets, but they would swell up to the point where I couldn't even make a fist and my shoes became really tight and uncomfortable. I was also embarrassed to wear flip-flops or sandals because anyone who looked at my feet would probably wonder why they look like I had just dipped them in a bucket of water. Sweaty hands and feet have made so many things in my life difficult for me and I'm sure anyone reading this knows exactly how that feels. I thought about getting the sympathectomy to clamp the nerve responsible for everything but the side-effects scared me way too much and besides, I don't have 10K lying around to pay for the cost of surgery. The side effect that I was the most worried about was, compensatory sweating. I read about one person who got the surgery and although they stopped sweating in their hands and feet, compensatory sweating began occurring on their buttocks and they had to wear a diaper every day so the sweat wouldn't soak through their pants. I don't know about you, but that sounds WAY WORSE to me than living with sweaty hands and feet. And although the surgery can be reversible by removing the clamp on the nerve, it's not guaranteed. Did I mention Horners Eye as another side effect? Ya, droopy eyelids are so not the look I'm going for. I also did the shock treatment for a while back in the early 2000's and it was a long and painful process and the results were hardly worth all the trouble. Those were our options, people! Surgery or painful shock treatment. I still can't believe that a seemingly simple lotion has made such a difference in my life. I work as a photographer and holding a camera while my hands are sweating buckets is so difficult, not to mention embarrassing, as the sweat drips from hands and down my arms while I'm holding my camera to my face. Remember how I mentioned that my hands swell up too? When they swell up they also become super sensitive to the touch. So holding a camera while they are sweating and swelling is not only uncomfortable, but painful as well. Well I'm here to tell ya, this stuff actually works! I've been using it off and on for a few weeks now and I'm so thankful to the makers of this product for changing my quality of life. I use it when my hands are completely dry and I try to keep them from sweating for at least 30 minutes. As you can see in the picture, the areas where there are cracks in my hands are areas that are sweat-free. The areas where there aren't any cracks, are areas that have started to sweat but only a little bit. I took this picture about 4 hours into shooting a wedding outside in the 80 degree heat and normally under these conditions, my hands would be sweating/swelling and making my life miserable. As the night went on, the lotion started wear off but it was still not nearly as bad as it would be had I not used the lotion earlier that day. So even though Carpe lotion hasn't stopped the sweat 100%, its still enough that my quality of life has changed tremendously! I have a new-found confidence in almost every aspect of my life and my stress level has gone WAY down. It really is like living a new life without this dark cloud constantly hanging over my head. I'm going to end this with saying that if it hasn't worked for you, keep trying. Try to put it on when your hands are totally dry and do so at night before bed, in the morning, and once in the afternoon. Little side note, I have not used this on my feet yet. I wanted to see if it made a difference on my hands first before I purchased more for my feet. If anyone associated with Carpe lotion is reading this, thank you for making such a life-changing product. I'll be buying more to apply on my feet throughout the summer and I'll update this post and let you all know how it goes!

I've been using this for six weeks and I can say that it does work but with a few caveats. I have some minor hyperhidrosis in my hands and true to claims a small dab of this with good rubbing for a few seconds does indeed stop my hands from sweating. Sometimes it doesn't work on my fingertips though, so I have to rub the cream in a specific way to get it on my fingertips. It's not the best, but I can probably chalk that to user error. Also, make sure you put only a tiny amount, just the right amount to cover your hands. If I put too much on, my hands take on a chalky texture and I hate it more than my usually mildly wet hands. Some of the problems are not user error unfortunately. For one, the box and the bottle state numerous times that you need to apply this cream twice daily for four weeks to see the full effect of it, which sounds like after about a month of use, those two applications will be enough to last you the entire day, but it's just not true. It ends as soon as I wash my hands, and then the sweating is back like I never had the cream on. At $17 per bottle when I bought it (which is now $19 as of writing this!), I simply can't afford to reapply this cream every time I use the restroom, it's just way to expensive. A 32 fl oz bottle of Jergen's lotion for $6 is enough to last a very long time and I don't feel bad about applying it after hand wash, but a 1.5 fl oz tube of $17 cream is just unaffordable. Another problem is that my hands have a really weird, sticky texture when I wash my hands. It's like if you pull something heavy, it moves then stops then moves then stops repeatedly. This is what it feels like to wash my hands every since I started using this cream twice daily. It doesn't feel nice. This texture persists through the entire day, so if you apply it at 8am and wash your hands multiple times throughout the day, your hands will still feel sticky when washing them at 10pm. I guess this suggests that the cream is still inside your palms, but then why does it lose its efficacy after a single hand wash? A final nitpick is that some of the cream dries inside the cap that pours the cream. The next time you flip the lid open to cream your hands, there are a few pieces of crusty, solidified cream at the tip that you should clean out with your fingernail because it's unusable material and will just get in the way of application if it does end up in your palm with the cream. Over time I would like to say this loss adds up quite substantially, maybe up to a quarter of the bottle is lost this way, it's quite disappointing. Apart from my qualms, it works fine, and has a nice scent to it, but I think I'm going to switch my schedule to using it for things like interviews and such, where it makes sense in the short term and doesn't happen very frequently. If this was cheaper I would feel a lot better about using it consistently or even applying after every hand wash, but at the current price, and likely the future inflated price, it's just not feasible.

No puedo dar la opinión sobre este producto ahora mismo pues pone q los resultados se empiezan a ver a las 4 semanas y solo llevo dos días con el . Yo lo compre por los comentarios tan buenos (era gente extranjera pues estaban en inglés ) que lei sobre el . Lo único q puedo decir es que llegó el día esperado. Editado12JUL2018. Después de probarlo unos meses este verano puedo decir q quita más o menos un 40%del sudor.. Supongo q dependera del grado de hiperhidrosis q se tenga. EDITADO a 19 MAR 2021..Si se combina con el perspirex manos , hace mejor efecto.

Ich habe mir die Creme bestellt, da ich sehr oft an schwitzigen Händen gelitten habe und mich immer sehr dafür geschämt habe. Bereits nach dem ersten Auftragen bemerkt man einen kleinen Unterschied. Allerdings kommt der Schweiß schnell wieder. Wenn man die Creme aber immer wieder direkt nach dem Händewaschen aufträgt, lässt sich schnell ein Unterschied feststellen. Meine Hände sind wirklich viel häufiger trocken. Meine Cremetube ist sogar noch fast voll und ich hab schon fast das Ergebnis, das ich haben möchte. Würde nicht sagen, dass ich das Produkt noch mal bestellen würde, da mir die Menge einfach vollkommen ausreicht und ich wahrscheinlich noch lange was davon haben werde. ;D Kann sie aber jedem weiterempfehlen, der unter verschwitzten Händen leidet.
