Vegan chef and wellness expert Jason Wrobel offers up a comprehensive recipe and lifestyle book with practical tips for creating drool-worthy dishes with specific nutritional benefits. While at its core Eaternity is a cookbook, it's so much more than that. Unlike most cookbooks that merely tell you what to eat and how to make it, Eaternity gives you the current research and science behind our major health concerns and explains why you should eat certain foods based on your individual goals - whether it's to lose weight, have more energy, sleep sounder or feel stronger. Eaternity has 150+ nutritious yet delicious meat-free recipes that will satisfy all of your comfort-food cravings, because let's face it - not everyone is ready for wheatgrass shots, seaweed salads and buckwheat granola! It features such fan favorites as Superfood Caesar Salad, Spicy Sweet Potato Tortilla Soup and Salted Caramel Waffles. With a refreshingly light, no-pressure vibe, wicked humour and stunning food photography, Eaternity makes it easy to get on board and feel awesome! Amazing array of plantbased recipes that prove that eating a vegan diet is neither tasteless nor boring. The bbq cauliflower wings are RIDICULOUS! Highly recommended :)

Dissappointed
Sorry but quite disappointed. I expected more exclusive content in the book but I think there's better stuff on his YouTube channel and other free platforms.

For the fully committed vegan
Eaternity is for serious vegans who are passionate and dedicated to cooking for optimum good health and wellness. This book details the science and research behind why and how to eat for best possible good health and then offers the recipes to support this. There are absolutely no half-measures here. If youโre considering buying this book, then you will also need to be prepared to buy specialist ingredients and supplements, many of which you may never have heard of before i.e. tocotrienols, shilajit powder, rehmannia, yerba mate, eleuthero root etc. I would rate this 4.5 stars, but ONLY if you are fully committed and empowered to the vegan way to ultimate health. Many thanks to Negalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

Brilliant and so Useful!
Loved this book! So different from any other cookbook in the sense that it was divided in purposes for dieting/ eating healthy. The information in this book is detailed and brilliant and the recipes super tasty and easy. Great for superfood lovers like me!

Too many unusual ingredients
The recipes look very good, but I have not heard of many ingredients listed in the recipes. I would like recipes that anyone can easily make. I don't want to spend time researching or searching for items unknown to me. I don't know if they are important for the recipe. Too fancy for me.

My absolute favorite vegan book to date. So well written, you could read it cover to cover as opposed to just recipe by recipe!
Though Jason Wrobel has been a name on the Vegan scene for quite some time, I only recently became aware of him through the publication of this book which looked right up my alley. I went ahead , made the purchase and signed up for his blog where I was immediately initiated into his style with an amazing recipe for a Miso turmeric quinoa bowl which was both simple to make and delicious. And super healthy to boot. I was hooked and could not wait for this book which did not disappoint!! His story immediately resonated with me โ as he became vegan through health concerns; the death of a family member and concerns for diseases acquired though the food chain, most notably Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease; which as a Brit growing up in the UK where this disease was very present in the cattle industry; was the starting basis for my now 23 year long vegetarian lifestyle. However unlike a lot of food bloggers who are self taught and then publish books, Jason is professionally trained and has studies alongside other vegan chefs, including Matthew Kenney, many of whose books I own! This book stands apart from anything else in the class for a number of reasons. Not just a recipe book, it looks at the science behind what we eat, exploring research around vegan diets and the outcome of heath -citing numerous credible studies, not his own opinion. Then in breaking from tradition; the book does not flow in the usual manner of smoothies, breakfast, snacks, lunch etc; but looks at specific foods for specific concerns or outcomes. It is also worth noting that this book is not just a recipe / food book, but an all encompassing lifestyle and wellness guide which tips throughout on living healthier and better. The book features 14 different categories, ranging from foods for those looking to detox, feel less stress or just looking for energy; to specific concerns like better sex, and build more muscle and immunity. I love the diversity and the fact that there is something to appeal to every reader. Each category is loaded with useful and again scientific information that explores the given concern and how foods can play a role in addressing the matter. There are simple facts such as top foods that meet the concern, to specific nutrients one should be looking for. And best of all, this entire book is written in a fun, conversational manner that is down to earth, easy to understand and refrains from the often preachy tones one might find in books of this nature. Many of the recipes are simple using fresh seasonal ingredients and a minimal number of steps to assemble the dishes! Now the one caveat here is you will need a well stocked pantry of vegan staples (and note there is a good guide towards the back of the book) but even then be prepared for some shopping at specialty stores as there are some obscure ingredients that do pop up. For example, though I do have maca, boabab and nutritional yeast, I did not stock guar gum, cistanche extract powder or chaga mushroom powder in my pantry; though randomly that last one was in my Amazon wish list so I must have read something about it recently. That said, there are many, many recipes that are simple are attainable with a trip to any grocery store for example, the Black Bean Garbanzo salad is ready for my lunch tomorrow right down to the jicama chips thanks to Trader Joes and their ready to eat slices! The recipes are plenty and diverse, there are ideas for any time of the day; and everything from smoothies and snacks, to salads, main meals and desserts. I also love the fact that many of the dressings such as the cashew cream are not overly complicated or fussy to make which is the case in most other books I own! Finally I simply love the resource guide at the end, which is loaded with useful links to websites to shop for various foods and gadgets as well as further advice. It is part of a journey to wellness and leaves offering more for those who want to explore further! To date this is my absolute favorite vegan book and is so well written, you could read it cover to cover as opposed to just recipe by recipe!

Best Vegan Cookbook EVER!!!!!
All I can say is YUM!!!!! If you've watched any of Jason's YouTube videos, you already know you're in for a treat. I'd have to say this is the most well thought out cookbook I've ever owned and it's absolutely stunning to look at. I feel as though this is the first cookbook that actually deepened my relationship with my food. Typically cookbooks are all about creating great dishes, but this is a health book too with lots of information about foods that benefit different parts of the body, i.e., skin, hair, sleep, digestion...etc. Jason went ALL OUT to make this an awesome book and it's going to take me forever to get to all of them and I'm excited about that and sharing the dishes with friends. Jason, you put your heart and soul into this and it is deeply felt! Namaste. UPDATE Jan 29th, 2018: I've made lots of the beautiful creations in this book and I'm happy to say that it is now my most cherished and the most favorite book I've ever owned and I've literally read and owned thousands! I'm a raw vegan and I'm about 95% raw so this recipe book fits perfectly into my life when I want so cooked vegan foods too. When I started out raw, I knew I didn't want to get bored just eating simple salads every day. I also knew I didn't want to fail at this lifestyle change because the diet healed me from some injuries I sustained in an accident and supported my spirit regarding the ethical treatment of animals. So I started out this life-change from the top down instead of the bottom up. I started learning gourmet raw vegan preparations. This opened up a world of food prep, spices, powders, oils, fermenting, dehydrating and sprouting I knew nothing about. By the time this book came along years later, I was pretty deep into this way of eating. But here's the thing. I don't have lots of money even though I have my own small business. What I do have is lots of mad creative skills and I find a way to create what I want. Therefore, I had no problem letting go of the things in my life I no longer needed or didn't serve me in order to have the gadgets and appliances I needed to make really good food medicine (not that you'll need new appliances). I rarely shop at the store for any of the so-called "exotic" ingredients in the recipes because I shop in bulk online and save myself tons of money. So here's what you do to make these recipes part of your daily life. First make a list of all of your favorite veggies, fruits, nuts, beans, and seeds. One of my favorite veggies is Brussels sprouts. Then you just go to YouTube and search for "raw vegan (or just vegan Brussels sprouts recipes" and if you're feeling lucky type Jason Wrobel in the search title too. And POOF, hundreds of videos! Keep doing this with the items on your favorites foods list until you get down to the bottom. Since I know that Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite foods, I also know any "exotic" ingredients I purchase will be used again and again. So get your produce at a store and your dry goods in bulk online. If you shop this way before you know it, your kitchen will be filled with new and interesting ingredients that you'll be able to repeatedly use and you'll be trying even more fun and healthy dishes. Another bonus, to having this book for me is that I have food allergies and I have Celiac disease. So I had to learn how to substitute lots of favorite ingredients. I had never heard of coconut aminos before I started watching the J-Wro Show (Jason Wrobel) so when I discovered that I would have to give up soy sauce I was happy that I didn't have to give up my Asian Brussels sprouts coleslaw. My food allergies had a positive ripple effect because now when I have friends over for a meal, I can 99% of the time prepare dishes that everyone can eat without having to adjust anything in the recipes. I truly can't say enough about this amazing book! I'm so impressed with the recipes that for the first time in my 51 years on the planet I'm star struck! Jason is the rockstar of vegan cooking and has helped me turn my kitchen into my most favorite room in my home!
