Excellent addition to home gym
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Leg Extension/Curl Machine for a Home Gym This machine exceeded my expectations. The build quality is solid, and it feels very stable even when loaded with heavier weight plates. Assembly was straightforward, and all the adjustments make it easy to dial in the perfect fit for different users. The leg extension movement is smooth and really isolates the quads, while the leg curl provides an excellent hamstring workout. The range of motion feels natural, and the padding is comfortable enough for longer training sessions. I also appreciate how compact the footprint is compared to commercial machines, making it a great addition to a home gym. The plate-loaded design is convenient since I can use my existing weight plates, and the adjustable settings allow me to progressively increase resistance as my strength improves. After several weeks of use, everything still feels sturdy and well-built with no wobbling or issues. If you’re looking for an affordable and effective way to add leg extensions and leg curls to your home gym, this machine is a fantastic value. It delivers a great workout and feels much more expensive than it actually is.

Love it
It took my a little under 2 hours to put together but I took my time as I didn’t want to make a mistake. Instructions were easy to follow and machine feels sturdy and smooth. I’m happy with the results and can’t wait to use it ! Very happy with the machine and I would recommend for someone not wanting ti break the bank and I also like that it doesn’t take too much space

Nice quality leg machine.
Overall, a good machine for working legs. Nice , smooth operation and very sturdy. Assembly was fairly easy, no issues. The only negatives, you have to work one exercise sequence at a time due to the process of switching between curls and extensions; changing weights is a little awkward when doing curls because you are basically locked in place. Size wise, the unit has a lot of adjustability, but barely fits my 6’ frame. So, if you are taller than 6’, proceed with caution.

Great Value.
Took me about 30 minutes to put it all together. Instructions were very good and the parts fit without any issue. It's a high-quality machine for home gym. Using it is simple enough, although there is a rod that you have to remove and reinsert to move from leg extensions to leg lifts and sometimes that rod is a little sticky and hard to remove. I added some light grease and that fixed the problem. I also just left the rod out and am able to move from exercise to exercise without messing with it. But, that's with me using light weights, 50Lbs and less. The rod is there to prevent injury from over rotation when coming down from the exercise.

Worth the money
At this price, it’s hard to beat. It shipped via FedEx and arrived 4 days early. It arrived on leg day so I had to get it assembled so I could work out. The assembly from the time I cut the bands on the box until it was completely assembled was about 45 minutes. This included unwrapping and inspecting the parts for damage. There was a little damage to the powder coating on the main frame piece from shipping, but nothing structural. One piece of advice I would give is to not over tighten the nylon lock nuts. Too much torque will bend the square tubing, reducing the structural integrity. All in all it’s a good leg extension maching. I was torn between this and the one that lats flat for leg curls, but I can do standing leg curls with this one. Not a deal breaker, especially since I would need to spend an extra $100+ to get that functionality. I believe this one will work just fine and it is well made. I do see the leg pads needing changed out every year or so. The foam padding isn’t that dense so it will end up collapsing under heavy load eventually. For the max capacity, I will never personally need to go that high, but if you do, you won’t be able to use bumper plates. The weight arm is rather short. On a positive note, the handles are a vital feature for me. The leg extension machine I am replacing didn’t have them and it was difficult staying in the seat once you hit 130 pounds or so. So if you need a reliable, sturdy leg extension machine with leg curl features and hip thrust features, this fits the bill.

Old Guys with Arthritis will love this machine
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserves it. Assembly took about 3 hours, and I took my time doing it right — keeping bolts loose until everything was aligned, then tightening everything down at the end. That made a big difference in how smooth the machine feels. The adjustability is excellent — seat, back, and leg positions are all easy to dial in. Once I aligned the pivot point with my knees, the movement felt very natural and smooth. Sixty-year-old with arthritis in right knee so leg exercises that stress the knee joint I struggle to do. I’ve used a lot of combo gym machines before where the leg extension feels like an afterthought — this is not that. This feels much closer to a dedicated commercial unit. First workout with a 45 lb plate was smooth no wobble no knee stress at all, tension where it should be — in the quads For anyone concerned about knee comfort or wanting to build strength safely, this is a really solid option. Very happy with the purchase.

No resistance in the beginning of the rep
The design of this machine and others like it, is flawed. You get no resistance in the beginning of the rep and the end of the rep is too hard to complete. This is due to the plate being affected by gravity differently throughout the arc. When it's at the bottom it's easy to move and when the arm reaches 90 degrees it's difficult to move. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this style of plate loaded leg extension/curl machine. You can somewhat compensate by moving the pin so your rep starts with the plate around 40 degrees and ends around 130 degrees. The max resistance is then in the middle, when the plate swings past 90 degrees the resistance starts to decrease. But at least you don't get to zero resistance. You can compensate again by adding weight and doing partial reps at the long and short end, but that does add time and decrease the joy of working out. With all that being said about the actual design, this particular machine is very sturdy. It was easy for me to build in about 2 hours. The included instructions were easy to follow. The packaging was adequate to protect the machine from any issues and it is free from scratches and dings. It's definitely overbuilt and solid and I have big arms and I work out wrists and forearms, and none of the hardware felt flimsy or weak when I torqued it down hard during the build. It would have been nice if the design included a couple of wheels and a handle, so this could easily be moved around, similar to a bench. It's hard to move without the flimsy rubber feet falling off and potentially marking the floor. I just duct taped the rubber feet on lol. The included spike that's intended to store extra weight plates only has a 1" tube, no 2" adapter was included for that. But the main plate loading bar for your reps does include the 2" adapter. The weight plate storage area is kinda short/small to be useful for anything but small plates, which doesn't make sense for a leg machine. I tried doing ab crunches but it feels off balance, like it pitches you forward, and the most resistance you get is when you're fully crunched over. Not ideal since you really want the resistance at the beginning of a crunch rep when you're fully stretched. So I won't be using this for crunches either lol. Return freight shipping was going to be $150+ so I decided to keep this leg machine. I might try tinkering around with attaching it to a cable for resistance instead of a plate. I'll need to add some pulleys and stuff, maybe a bicycle wheel to move the cable through a circular arc. Call it a "fixer upper" DIY project lol.

Great compact leg machine
We wanted a very compact leg machine, and the GMWD LE02 Leg Extension and Curl Machine has a small footprint, so after talking to one of their reps, we ordered this one. It's quite inexpensive for a leg extension and curl machine with a footprint of only about 35" x 35", and pics show a model using it for abs, too - I tried that, and it worked. It arrived probably boxed better than any piece of fitness gear we've ever bought. It has no smells, no issues, no rips or tears, and all the parts were in the box. We built it in under an hour. Our floors are hardwood, and the machine doesn't move - just sits flat. The metal tubing is pretty thin - maybe 16 gauge? - which we expected for the price. Btw, for some reason the listing says the max weight capacity for this machine is 95 pounds, but I contacted the manufacturer, and the rep told me that machine's total capacity (including the person sitting on it) is 550 pounds. Since the weight horn is only 9 inches, I don't think we could fit more than 5 45-pound plates or only 3 45-pound bumper plates, so that's fine. I can always work one leg at a time. For the size and price, I don't think there are many options - the other brands close to this price have a larger footprint. We actually tucked this into the corner of our living room, and it fits without getting in the way. We knew its limitations going in, and we're happy to work within them to get this small a leg machine - we already have a cable tower tucked in the dining room and a power cage in the bedroom, 2 weight benches and 5 barbells, so the compact size was important to us. This is our first piece from GMWD, and so far, we're happy with the machine, its size, and the value.
