Nervous to try but so glad I did. It worked for washing down sleeping bags!
I was a bit nervous about using this product on two very expensive goose down sleeping bags that I own but since the bags are now about 15-20 years old, I knew they needed to be washed and refreshed. They barely fit in the washer (make sure you don't have a center agitator) but once the tub was full of water, I paused the cycle and added the Nikwax washing detergent to the water and restarted the cycle. It worked well so I then repeated the process with the Nikwax waterproofing detergent. I then placed the bag in the dryer and did 4 drying cycles on very low heat with tennis balls. The down eventually dried and the sleeping bags regained their loft. So happy I was able to wash my down sleeping bags and they are as good as new again. They both look and smell great!

Valuable detergent for down jacket
My friend told me about this product and her good experience. So I purchased this bundle. I washed my down jacket with this detergent and water repellent last spring after I last wore it. And now that I'm using it again, my jacket is completely clean, without any pilling, completely water repellent, and has not lost any of its previous beauty and uses. If you have an expensive jacket, it's worth buying this product to make it last longer.

Trust the process!
After the cleaning wash, I thought I had ruined my jacket. All the down had clumped up into the corners. I continued with the waterproofing wash, and nothing improved. I first tried drying on just an air fluff cycle, that didn't appear to do anything. I then tried low heat and it really wasn't much of an improvement. I had given up and figured I had ruined my jacket. So...I just kept repeating the low heat cycle, using two rubber dryer balls thrown in. To my surprise, after a few low heat cycles, the clumps of down dried out and the jacket started to fluff out. I used 5 low heat cycles before the jacket appeared back to normal. There is still a grease stain, I should of pre-treated, but otherwise the jacket really looks refreshed. The biggest noticeable difference is how well the zipper works now. I've yet to verify the waterproofing, due to lack of inclimate weather in my region.

Excellent
Great product. Washed down jacket and vest, following instructions. Then rewashed with water repellent, also following instructions. Looked sad and flat when out of the washer -- BUT I then Dried LOW, with wool dryer balls in pockets to prevent clumping. Took couple of dryer cycles to get fully dry, but both came out great.

Jacket Restored - Like New
Used exactly per instructions and video. After drying I put on my down jacket. I did not realize how flat and un-puffy it had gotten. Feels like new again. Clean and warmer now since the down loft is back. Also water rolls off the fabric again.

Easy to Use, Good DWR Finish
I used this to wash my two Eddie Bauer BC EverTherm ThinDown jackets. There's not much to say. The product cleaned the jackets well and restored the DWR finish. Highly recommended!

Nikwax works very well but I confess my amusement to how bad the packaging and fluid amounts are. It's not something I'd imagine most would notice until they had modern features taken away. -Cap does not feature any measurement system. I get it, it's small. Still tell me how much fluid fits in the cap and ideally in a way where I can math # capfuls. -The cap's safety feature tears off suddenly, often popping off the otherwise unsealed cap and spilling a few drops (not an issue in terms of volume as it is annoying). -The cap features no other anti-open safety features. Your child could easily open and drink this despite the warning label to keep it our of reach of children. Check, but toxic substances should have safety caps. -The instructions are not consistent across brands for top load, front load, hand, or industrial machine wash features. -Both bottles are a generic 300ml and don't seem to take into account that the waterproof component will require a different amount than the wash amount meaning that in buying a package like this, you're left with differing amounts to do a load of laundry. What? I reiterate though, the product itself is great.

It works! My old down jacket no longer soaks up rain like a towel, now it beads on the surface

These worked great on a few down jackets I have. They returned the loft and water beads off it again. It will clump a lot the first time you dry your jackets, but if you gently break apart the clumps and repeatedly run it through the dry cycle with dryer balls (tennis balls work too), it will work better. I ran my jackets through the dryer cycle at least 3 times to get them back to normal but now they are as good as when I bought them.
