First, yes, the canvas-like material that the shirt is made of is going to get warm. This is both a pro and a con. The bottom line is that the "pro" to this is that the material feels like it's going to hold up & the shirt will last awhile.The quality of the shirt is quite good, and the price is very reasonable. Based on the material and the feel of the shirt, I expect this clothing to be durable, resistant, and to last awhile.The shirt also looks pretty good. When I saw the images here on Amazon I was expecting something less... pleasing. I'm happy to say that the real thing, in my opinion, looks a little better than what you see in the images here. Additionally, the length of the shirt allows for a proper tuck - finally, a shirt that doesn't untuck itself! (!!!) - and it has a professional look to it as well.The dark grey went very well with my blue jeans.The "con" to the material is that, as someone else said, this shirt is going to be warm. I was not expecting this because I assumed that the "angry" review was exaggerating things. It is exaggerating in that the shirt certainly does not feel anything like a "trash bag", but I recommend that this be worn in an air-conditioned location more often than not. Even though it's a short sleeve, I do not look forward to wearing this out in temperatures of 100+.Thankfully, the fabric feels like it's going to hold up. Ultimately I would buy these shirts again.

I have always worn size XL shirts for the extra freedom and comfort provided, however the XL Carharrt Mens Twill S/Sleeve shirt I first ordered was VERY VERY BIG on me, so I returned it for a size L. On receipt I also found it was still a bit big but won' t exchange it as I live outside the US and its too expensive to return. Other than the size issue, the shirt is exactly as I had hoped for, with smart appearance (for a work shirt), looks good with jeans, made of a very durable cotton polyester fabric, overall great value for the money, and should last for some years. For Info I am 5'*8" tall , medium build and about 180 lbs, and will definitely order more of these shirts

My husband needed a black shirt to wear to work at a certain client. He does not like polo's and usually wears a button down short sleeve shirt, so when we saw this online, we gave it a try. He Loves this shirt. He wears it more often than he has to because it is comfortable and it fits and looks so nice on him. Got it when expected and its a very nice shirt that launders and wears well.

I work as a luthier at a major music store. I was looking for music branded mechanics shirts to wear at work. After coming up basically empty handed, I ordered several of these in black and also ordered iron-on patches from Gibson, Fender, Taylor Guitars etc.. and made my own custom shirts. They launder well, never need ironing and look great wash after wash. They are a bit oversized which is good. I'm a big guy of Scottish/Irish decent and I usually require a 3X shirt although they are a bit too roomy. I ordered these in 2X and they are ultra comfortable. They are of a higher quality than what is offered by Dickies and others. I'm getting ready to order some more as I type this!

Reading the other reviews, I purchased in a Medium, despite the fact that in a T-shirt I take a Large. The Medium fit fine, and is good looking. At 29.99, the price seemed reasonable for what looks like a durable, well-made shirt. I've washed it once, and It came out looking fine. Only thing I find a bit annoying is that both front pockets have buttons, and I like to keep my cell phone in a shirt pocket, and the buttons on the pockets make getting the phone in and out a little difficult. Basically a fine, well made shirt at a decent, if not cheap, price.

High quality shirt with some weight to it. Compared to Dickies work shirts, they're a little thicker and feel more durable. Ive made the switch to these as they're comparable in price and are more comfortable in my opinion. Im 6'3" - 265lbs - 48in chest - 42in waist & the XL fits well with a little room to spare but looks sharp.

1st the shirt is for a straight up and down body type. if your over weight even a little, you may need to leave the bottom button undone if you plan on crouching down or bending over. 2nd the shoulders seem to me to be a little too tight and the short sleeves a little too long. past that its an okay shirt for slinging freight. keeps me cool and thus far nothing that I have picked up has ripped or torn the shirt. (I have worn and washed it for one 5 day work week at the time of this review)

I love these shirts and in general have a great opinion of Carhartt products. I have three of these shirts and I like a few things. One is they are durable and have not faded after numerous washes or suffered any damage that I can see. I need tough gear in my job. I also like that these shirts look... good. I primarily bought them for their durability and comfort which is good, but I have received a lot of compliments from coworkers and customers. Overall its a good buy. I'll only buy these shirts from now on.

Great consistent Carhartt quality. Xl and I am 250 with a touch of belly...honest.

Da es ein Geschenk ist werde ich erst später sehen ob es wirklich passt. Auch wenn es etwas groß aussieht wird es bestimmt gehen. Ansonsten ist es wie erwartet. Wobei die Verarbeitung an den Brusttaschen nicht ganz so gut ausgefallen ist. Der Stoff ist robust und zeugt von Qualität.

It's a good shirt but the logo that is supposed to be on the bottom front is not there.
