Easy to use, good value, a must when sistering LVLs
Just installed a big LVL using these structural fasteners. They go in the same as other large head truss fasteners, with a T40 torx bit and a high power slow sped drill or a strong impact wrench (I used a 1/2” drive cordless and a high quality T40 socket). I like these better than the Flatlok brand because the heads are almost flush with the LVL when tightened up. I would recommend these for ease of use, their nearly flush fit and their lower price.

A hell of a lot easier than the old way (nailing)
The box includes a T-40 bit (description doesn't say that). Use a big 1/2" drill rather than an impact driver. Goes in quick and easy. The 5" length is perfect for a 3-ply LVL and you can put them in from either (or both) sides.

Excellent Product - Poor Supplier
Item arrived and was obviously opened prior to be shipped. Two of the screws were missing and the Torx bit that is supposedly included was missing.
