Bought this caulk tape to use to cover some gaps I had between my floor and baseboards in my apartment. Bugs were getting into the apartment through said gaps when it would rain/storm. It was a bit time consuming to install just because I wanted it to be perfect and my living room & bedroom are pretty spacious but overall pretty easy. I do have pictures of both the gaps I used the tape to cover and what it looks like on my baseboards. Not the prettiest but as long as it keeps the bugs away.The material/adhesion seem pretty great, the adhesive is strong but not crazy strong to where it’ll rip my paint when I move out. And no weird odor.Right now it’s 5/5 but I will report back in a few days!

This caulk tape is very convenient. If you're a person who would rather not deal with the gooey, sticky mess of regular tube caulk, this might be just what you['re looking for. I, for one, have learned my lesson regarding the use of tube caulk the hard way. I ended up using an entire tube on a very small bathroom. It looked lumpy and smudgy, uneven and crooked. Having said that, this product solves some of those problems. It's quite wide: it's scored to be folded so 1/2 of the strip is secured to the floor (or wall, fixture or whatever) while the other half attaches to the other side of whatever you're using the caulk for. For an example: I used this in my bathroom. I decided to do the seam between the horizontal base tile and the floor tile. Fold along the score line firming to make it as distinct as possible, them start taking the backing off (the red stuff). Be sure than you surfaces are CLEAN - the caulk won't stick properly if there is dust, dirt, etc. on the surface and you don't want that! Put the crease created by folding along the scored line tight into the corner of the two areas you want to cover. Then push the top half of the strip against the vertical surface and press the bottom half against the (usually) tiled floor. Easy, peasy, right? Sort of. If you're working on a straight run without any corners or other protrusions to work around, you can roll the entire length into the area and pull off the red backing as you go. HOWEVER, this is not an easy material to mold into place. As I came to a corner, the tape buckled. It would not mold itself into the irregular spots. I tried to make a "dart" to create a space for the crease, but that just make a large gap in the tape that wouldn't pull back together after making the necessary turn. It's also very disagreeable when it comes to being reapplied after being pulled off. The "sticky" is super strong if the tape goes on well. However, if you find that you're a little off on one edge or the other, you'll have to pull it off and try to re-stick it in the place where you need it. It might stick, it might not. I found that, for the most part, this prevented me from having to deal with the worst part of caulking (in my opinion): the goo, the difficulty washing it off your skin, and making lines that are consistent. The tape goes on straight (it follows the line of tile placement) and remains as clean and smooth as when you started. If the sticky side gets on your skin, you just pull it off - no pain, no residue. It's quite wide and not difficult at all to apply. It cleans up very well. Nothing sticks to it and it's very easy to wipe. My only complaint is that it is quite difficult to match edges without leaving a clean end-to-end splice and it isn't easy to turn over corners. I'll end up pulling out a tube of regular caulk to hide the seams and to smooth out some of the clips I made trying to get the corners to lay flat. I'd buy this again if I didn't have a complex edge to caulk. But I wouldn 't attempt to "fix" any slip ups I make!

This stuff is awesome. I’ve ordered it twice now, did the tubs and toilets in the bathrooms at my mom’s. I used a little the first time to practice, it’s is thick enough to actually make a difference and work, sticky enough to get wet after install, but flexible enough to fold so you can get it right in the crevice. It is easy to install, in my experience, don’t push it too hard in the middle where the crease is with the tool, it will stab through, but it has fit everywhere I’ve put it, I will say I know it won’t stick to wood, and make sure the surface is dry! Great product, nice price.

I love the way this looks I rent and I wanted to update my bathroom and this was easy to do. I had no issues getting it to fit along the curves of the toilet or weird spots on the tub surrounding. It does help if you use the hairdryer to heat it up for about 15 seconds maybe even 30Seconds. It does have a bit of a strong smell whenever you first open it, but that goes away after a little bit. Has great adhesion I like the color it’s bright and clean looking they feel pretty durable. I wish I would’ve found this sooner. I’ve had no issues with gaps or lifting.

Besides the adhesive not being as strong as the one I got from the store, it did what I got it for. I just got some silicone caulk and put it under the caulk strip.

This product is amazing! Super sticky and makes around my tub look super clean and keeps the water out.

Ordered this product twice now, Easy to work with. You have to fiddle a bit around a toilet to remove crease but I keep on hand now for toilets, tubs etc I replace. For the price have a few rolls with plumbing stuff, makes a nice finish

Je dois refaire mes joints de silicone au trois ans. Donc j'ai voulu essayé cette option. Une belle apparence globale. L'adhésif semble excellent et on a la possibilité de décoller un petit bout pour mieux s'aligner et il colle aussi bien la deuxième fois.Selon moi les choses que je pourrais conseiller est avant d'enlever la pellicule, prendre tente secondes pour plier votre bande en deux sur la ligne centrale. Ça facilite la pose. Au début j'ai utilisé l'outil de plastique fourni. Pour m'assurer que la ligne du milieu appuie bien au centre. J'ai percé la bande et perdu la moitié d'un rouleau. Donc je crois que les doigts restent la meilleure méthode.Les coins ont été problématique pour moi. J'ai posé le plus grand morceau et fait chevaucher l'autre par dessus. Avec un exacto j'ai enlevé que la partie supérieure. C'est loin d'être parfait. Mais je suis assez satisfaite du résultat pour en acheter à nouveau pour la toilette et le lavabo. Dans l'idéal un rouleau plus grand au lieu de deux m'aurais permis de faire le bain sans couper. J'aurais eu une meilleure finition et j'aurais aimé cette option. Prenez votre temps pour la pose mais je recommande.
