You never realize the value of good tread on your shoes until you slip on a wet surface, take a dive and nearly kill yourself, which I did twice, then realized it would not have happened had I had better or at least "some" tread on my shoes. I do a lot of walking and wear out the tread on shoes every year or so, and have lots of old shoes that are perfectly good except for needing new tread. This is a great idea I wish I had thought of sooner. I will use this on lots of my old shoes and save a ton on new shoes. And as for the glue not sticking that someone mentioned in one of the reviews, a little Super Glue or Gorilla Glue would do the trick, I'm sure. And if any excess hangs over the side, it's easy to trip off.

Bought these for a pair of work shoes that had little traction. The adhesive is so weak that the pads fell off within minutes of use. I tried using Gorilla Glue as a back up plan but they still fell off. This product is a waste of money.

Wish they were thicker and also has to use extra glue to keep them on but they were definitely convenient to put over plastic soles

I added these to the bottom of my brown shoes I use for work. I walk so much that I wear down dress shoes very quickly. It’s been a couple of weeks and these are holding up nicely, although initially difficult to shape properly the end result is acceptable. The only draw back is I’ve had to re-glue the edges all around (1 or two more spots currently need it) which cost 1 star.

I have a favorite pair of boots that I've been wearing for a few years. I was walking through a big box store with a polished concrete floor when I first realized there was a major problem. I was walking quickly when something caught my eye and I tried to stop suddenly. Well...inertia kicked in and I just slid down the aisle. There was ZERO tread on the soles. The bootss weren't expensive, and I wasn't looking forward to having a professional fix done, but since they are no longer sold.....When Googling, this type of product was suggested. Since my options were to pay a small fortune to get soles replaced or eventually break something when I eventually fell, I decided to give these a try. Seriously one of the best money saving tips I've ever tried. I can now walk around without slipping and sliding.

Bought them so I can wear my comfy tennis shoe to work at the deli. ***NOPE***. I fell when she mopped the lobby today. They are not for wet floors at all. I fell with feet in air and hit my butt and head on floor. Had to walk around scared all day that I might fall. I really thought they would do great. The sticky is not the best either I couldnt find super glue so used hot glue to keep from slipping off. They will slid over as you walk. You got to put some kind of Glue on it.

These stick-on soles have excellent thickness exactly as advertised, but the adhesive is not great. While the material quality is good, I had to reinforce with super glue and clamps to ensure they stayed attached to my shoes for sure longer than the flimsy and short-term hold they would have had otherwise.
