Followed a video on YouTube for set up and controls as am a first time DIY network installer. Very pleased and all simple enough. Switch is doing exactly what I wanted it too and everything works great

Duse the job plenty of options smart switch GB. Working great if you just need more ports and something that you have some control over then it will do the job

Good points:: a great network switch for a small business and a noticeable improvement in network functionality over the previous assorted switches that had been placed where and when needed. Bad points: the "eco" credentials - i.e. power consumption - must surely be highly questionable considering the amount of heat (i.e. waste energy) that is clearly generated even when the network is idle. overall: a great improvement and well worth the money

Overall great switch for the money, I got it mostly for creating vlans and it does that job well. The configuration isn't super indept but good enough for your basic networking needs. Only downside there is no mechanism for updating the firmware by the looks of it so hopefully there isn't any vulnerabilities that surface.

I bought this to replace two single 8port switches of which one had failed. As both switches were on two separate networks which must not be accessible from each other I bought this Smart Switch to create two virtual LANs (VLAN). The configuration is straightforward and easy, the help pages are indeed helpful. The LEDs at the front tell you if a connected device is active and if it's using Gigabit link speed. The casing warms up quite a bit (I reckon around 40C in a 25C environment), but that shouldn't be a problem. The switch is not actively cooled, there's no fan. The device is narrower than the usual racks but the two brackets (screws included) in the box allow you to extend it to the correct width and to mount it in a rack. Very nice piece of kit for a very reasonable price

I have cabled out my home with CAT6, so needed additional network ports. I specifically wanted a 1000mbps switch, and although any sort of management wasn't essential on the device, this little gem gives you that option at a great price. I have always used Netgear for my network needs, but until recently had been using TP-Link (USB Wifi dongles) as they were well priced and just seemed to work well. I only bought this as switch to get me by for the time being until I am able to finish my home office. After setting this switch up, I can honestly say, I don't think there will be a need to move to an equivalent Netgear switch. it will cost more and do the same job. Another plus point is its silent, as it has no cooling fans, so i placed mine in a well ventilated area, but it seems to run cool enough. Package arrived quickly and well packaged. Highly recommend this switch for your small home office/home network

I have this switch feeding my home network for the last few months and was surprised at its competitive pricing. I have lots of tp-link gear and have found them to be of high quality with good customer / technical support. I have 152Mb Virgin broadband and am fully utilising this around the house thanks to the switch and the patch panel which feeds into it. I have barely used the smart functionality on it yet but have had a brief look at the web based system which looks fairly straightforward to use. It's been running away silently for the last few months and I have not had to touch / reboot it even once so it's definitely a robust piece of kit. The 24 port version is fabless and operates in virtual silence. It is mounted below my nas and is quieter than that!

Worked fine for a few years then just started failing, some connected devices would loose connection until power was reset. No firmware updates at all for this hardware revision. I'd avoid and go for something much better used. I myself replaced with a HP Aruba 2530 24 port from eBay for only £22!

自宅内で用途によってネットワークをVLANで分離するために購入しました。 これまで、5ポート品で継ぎはぎしてきて、5ポート品が6台位あったのですが、24ポート品にまとめました。 設定はWebブラウザでできるのでハードルは低く容易ですが、少しわかりにくいところもありました。 安定性や機能、性能は自宅で使う分にはまったく問題は感じません。 無線LANも中古の法人用802.11acに入れ替えてかなりスッキリしました。

24 ports: efficace et pas cher. On branche et ça marche. Il y a une interface de gestion mais je ne m'en sers pas: je m'en sers juste comme d'une grande multi prise réseau.

I got this to upgrade from an unmanaged switch and it's great. I was able to swap them out while powered up and only had about 40 seconds of network downtime. The chassis is a lightweight steel that's magnetic. I attached 9 little neodymium magnets to the backside and to stuck securely to my steel structured media enclosure without any other hardware. I took a couple hours to configure all of the VLANs properly and move all of my devices but after I was finished it's been working great. Performance has been as good as my previous gigabit switch. The management interface has some diagnostics, and the ability to configure ports for LAG and few other features. The include cable is probably fine but it feels really flimsy and cheap. The LEDs on the face are difficult to read at an angle. Those are about the only downsides. Great little switch.
