Nice quality
Summary: Nice quality. Could be better. I give this a 5 star rating for meeting expectations. The craftsmanship is great. No flaws. Good design. I opted for the v2 design. I'm glad I did. I like the new handle design. The silicone grip easily slides off the handle for ease of cleaning as well as preventing melting when used on some stoves. Unfortunately, such detail was not updated when it came to the percolator knob on the lid. The percolator knob is still resin which means you can potentially melt the knob if used directly on a campfire. The quality is very nice, but the thickness of the steel used on the kettle could be thicker. When I read 18/8 steel construction, I'm assuming it's on par with the gauge of steel used on my kitchen pots. This seems not the situation. You can flex the steel when squeezing kettle. A task I can not do with my other kitchen pots. However, even though I can easily flex the steel, it does hold form and seems good quality. Still, I would have preferred thicker steel used during construction. This kettle will certainly not survive being dropped or stepped on in harsh conditions. The spout can easily be dented if dropped on it's side. That could have been improved if the spout had a rolled lip. Small details which may have made the kettle more rugged. That being said, I am impressed with the overall construction. It's well made. It's light weight for those who care about weight. I would have preferred a heavier kettle with stronger construction. No sharp edges including the non-rolled spout lip. The percolator knob is threaded, which is nice. It can be removed for easy cleaning. However I'm not sure if it's a replaceable item or if the thread on the knob is a standard size such that it can be replaced with a glass knob.

My new obsession
Love this thing. I have a gas stove and I can leave the silicone sleeve on. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house so the size is perfect for me. It's 1-2 bigger than 8 oz cups of coffee. I make mine strong and I barely have to use any coffee to get it to the strength I like. I'm obsessed with it and it's so easy to clean and use. Because your boiling water to percolate, the coffee is extremely hot. I just take it off the heat and open the top to cool while I finish getting ready. It's perfect hot temp after about 5-10 min. If you're looking for instantly made quick coffee, get a Keurig. This is for people who like strong high quality coffee who aren't in a rush to brew and drink in under than 5 min.

Buyer Beware
It says right there in the specs that it’s 650 watts. That means ELECTRIC! It’s not.

It's an Aesthetic that works.
I've used the Stanley Stainless Steel Percolator alongside my Stanley Base Camp Cook Set and a Jetboil, and while the Jetboil is definitely faster at boiling water, I find myself reaching for the percolator far more often. It's become our favorite way to make coffee, tea, or just boil water around camp. There's just something about using it that feels right. The stainless steel construction feels solid, and based on how well my other Stanley gear has held up over the years, I expect this percolator to last a very long time. It also looks great sitting on the camp stove or around the campsite. My only real complaints are that I wish Stanley had included a built-in bail handle so it could be hung over a campfire without having to modify it, and the lid can rattle around a bit. Neither issue is a dealbreaker, though. Overall, it's a well-built, reliable percolator that has earned a permanent spot in our camping kit. If you're looking for a durable coffee pot that doubles as a great kettle for tea or boiling water, I highly recommend it.

Easy to use, coffee tastes great
I’m really happy with this item. My coffee apparatus history went from drip makers to Keurig to French Press to the Stanley stovetop/campfire percolator. Like most, I had a Keurig, & was satisfied for a long time, but I started to feel the cost of pods was prohibitive, & I didn’t like contributing the plastic to landfills. I changed to a French Press, but didn’t like the inability to filter, & the messy cleanup. Now, with Stanley’s stainless steel percolator, I was able to add unbleached biodegradable paper filters, which not only improves the quality, but it makes emptying the grounds from the basket, super easy. Now, I have the means to use the percolator on my stovetop, on top of a wood-stove, or on a campfire setting. Sadly, I couldn’t convince my hubbie to do away with his Keurig, but, at least I have halved our landfill donation of plastic Keurig cups! AND yes, I tried the reusable pod inserts, but no matter how many times I tried the Keurig product, or alternative (supposedly) compatible reusable pod cups, they never worked easily, cleanly, or well. I much, much prefer the Stanley percolator, which has the silicon handle sleeve to protect from scalding, & the whole thing CAN go in the dishwasher, or be handwashed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really great for camping and so cute!
I love love love this for camping! It makes more than enough coffee for 2 people, potentially enough for 3. Easy to clean, lightweight, looks so cute! We made tea after coffee and the coffee flavor had washed out completely with just a quick hand wash. It did perfect in the dishwasher at home too. I like that it’s a Stanley but I like name brands so that’s probably me.
