Excellent - had a clown visit to do some what they called work and this little plug meant they had not reason to say they had not got a power switch to cope. Very pleased so ordered more

I bought this instead of the slightly more expensive Draper RCD, as on appearance they look to be the same product, apart from the writing. With RCD's, you will never really know if they work unless you create a short - cut through a cable, etc.The buttons to test and reset are pretty clunky and you have to push the reset button at just the right angle, or else it doesn't depress. I think this will annoy me over time. I was also expecting a bright led light to come on, when it has been reset. Even in the dark, the light is so dim, that it is hard to see. Coupled with the fact that the button is hard to push, so you never really know if you have depressed it enough, I don't really rate this RCD very much. How hard is it to make a unit with easy to push buttons ? The only other alternative was a bright yellow JCB one, and as they are into diggers, not RCD's, I assume that you are just paying for the brand name with them.

Test Procedure
The instructions that came with the RCD says "Always test before use" and involves pressing the RESET and TEST buttons. This is not a problem. However, the user has to ensure that the indicator shows RED at one stage. The indicator on the RCD Power Adaptor I bought does not light-up RED at any time during the test. What is the point of having a life-saving safety devise if the testing procedure can't be followed through?
