Best substrate for fresh water aquarium ever!
This sand is gorgeous in my tall 20 gallon aquarium. I love that it comes damp and made setting up the aquarium and live plants so much easier. It’s no rinse!!!! What a game changer. This is one of my absolute favorite purchases ever! Switching to this from gravel made a huge difference in the look but also was so much better for the health of my bottom dwelling fish. I’d give this 6 stars if I could! Highly recommend for the ease, and extra security the nitrifying live bacteria this adds. I still dose with stability when upgrading to larger aquariums and move over old filter media. I will never use anything other than this . It’s the best investment for a healthy tank and a great price. Technology. Wow!

Pre soaked
No need for soaking, it is pre soaked exactly as it says on the bag. It is a good size to cover just a layer over fluval stratum in a 10gal tank, but if you want more sand I recommend getting 2 bags. It is very effective and does help keep the soil down. It looks very clean and is worth the money.

Super fine sand!
This sand is amazing. It looks great but what's even better is that it makes cleaning waste with a net easy because the sand grains are so fine they fall through the mesh. Excellent product.

Good aquarium substrate
I really like this substrate. The white sand looks very clean and beautiful in the tank. I didn’t wash it; I added it directly as it came. At first, the water got a little cloudy, but the next day it was already crystal clear thanks to the filter. I also like that it comes with beneficial bacteria to help start the aquarium cycle.

Excellent product. Great value
Extremely convenient to use, just take it out of the bag and add it straight to the tank. The quality is excellent: very soft texture, ideal grain size, and a beautiful, natural-looking color. By far the best substrate I've used. It comes pre-moistened, so you can pour it right in, and any cloudiness clears up really quick. I combined the white sand with fine gravel for a realistic look in my 5-gallon tank. Works perfectly!

Caution, let it settle, will jam your filter.
Nice sand but let it settle before turning on your filter. I made the mistake of adding the sand, water, then running the filter right away. Well, now my filter doesn’t work. The grains jammed the inside of my filter and they’re too small to get out. Otherwise, I like the way the product feels and looks. Once it settles and the tank isn’t cloudy, I’m sure I’ll like it more.

You need this for your aquarium!
Whoever thought of this is a genius! Easy to get out of the bag and into the tank, high quality, super soft and perfect grain size, and the color is super nice and natural looking! But the fact that it has the beneficial bacteria defiantly makes it 100% worth the money! It's perfect for getting the nitrogen cycle started in a new tank and I would recommend it to anyone, beginner or experienced! I actually already ordered more. (Also, just spend the extra 2 bucks for 10pounds of it, 5pounds isn't a lot and considering you can get twice the amount for only 2 dollars extra you might as well do it!)

BEST SUBSTRATE EVER!
So I had to set up a temporary molly fry tank last minute. Usually I just get the regular sand for my tanks but I needed this tank to cycle as quickly and efficiently as possible since the fry would be in there. I obviously didn't expect it to cycle overnight or anything as I'm not that naïve. But this substrate definitely quickened the process and everyone survived and was rehomed. It now has 2 fish in it permanently with a couple of snails. The snails bury themselves in the sand when they sleep. I love that the sand doesn't cloud the water even when it gets stirred up from cleaning or moving decor around. Also like that it seems to help keep ammonia/nitrites down which would normally be hard to do with about 50 fry in a brand new tank. I do a 25-50% water change every 1 week on my tanks but I've found that I can go longer without doing one with this tank and it's the only one with this sand in it. It might be a little bit more expensive but it made starting up/cyling a new tank so much easier and faster. This tanks been running for a month with no problems. This is literally the best substrate ever and I'll be adding a bag or two in my bigger tanks!

Great sand
This sand is amazing, it looks good and is easy to clean, I got light sand so it's easier to see the fish poo to clean out, but there are little black and brown specks which drive me insane xD I buy Aqua Natural Sugar White sand for all my tanks now, the sand is heavier than other sand so if you suck some up in your gravel vac they don't get very high, when using a turkey baster it all falls out before reaching the surface leaving only poop and food left in the baster. I use it with my Kuhli's and Cories, the Kuhli's love digging through it and burying themselves in it.

Looks great
Beautiful white sand. Arrives wet in bag as it is apparantly pre cycled which i think really helped to cycle my tank/speed up the process. I would definitely buy again. The sand is pure white but does contain some flecks of something black/brown which reminds me of maybe some wood particles. But it doesn't matter as alot of it vacuums out and it also makes it so fish poo doesn't stand out so bad. It's been in my tank for a few months now i think and i don't notice any flecks apart from any mess from my fish. It has been my favourite substrate. All my fish love it and they couldn't be happier. I previously had gravel which i disliked how the food would settle into it aswell as poo. Although i was worried about cleaning sand.. it is actually so much cleaner than gravel as i can run the gravel vac over just the surface of it and i can see that its clean. I previously bought some sand from the petshop which was more of a tan colour and didn't create the look i was after but this white sand has really brightened up my tank. It is also a heavier grain than traditional sand which means its less likely to go up the gravel vac. I haven't had a single illness or death from any of my fish so i'm sure that this product is good and safe.

Perfect Sand (and I got a free shrimp with it lol)
Don’t mind the black dots in my sand, that’s my fault for rinsing a dirty filter in my tank when I began cycling. I really like this sand, it’s nice and small and will be perfect for my axolotl when my tank is fully cycled. I noticed I already had some nitrites, 24 hours after adding the sand. My tank was already filled with conditioned water when I added my bag of sand in. I found it easiest to quickly run the outside of the bag under hot water, then cut the bag open and stick the bag into the tank and start pouring it in that way. By doing so, my tank wasn’t cloudy a minute after I was finished pouring the sand and I was able to get every last bit of sand out of the bag so none went to waste. Id highly recommend this sand! It’s a bit pricy for the small amount but totally worth it! I also noticed a little shrimp in my tank a few hours after adding the sand which I thought was funny, poor little guy has been on quite the adventure. It shocks me he wasn’t crushed by the sand but he’s managing to survive in my tank now

Not cloudy but needs time
I saw other reviews that said it wasn't white, which I agree, but considering its sand I really didn't expect it to be all white. It's close enough. The other was that it was cloudy. 2 weeks ago it was very cloudy, too the point I thought of leaving the bag and digging out the sad to return it. But then I I remembered my other tank had the same issue, only cleared up much faster than this tank. The picture shows 2 weeks after sand was added. It had cleared up that much. I expect it should clear up in full by 2 weeks later. So a full month for me. Not sure for others. I used 2 full bags.

I love the colour!
I love the colour of the sand it makes my tank looks bright and pretty. It's not super white but natural white and that's why I like it more. One more thing is, I noticed a lot of copepods living in my aquarium and I wasn't so sure where it came from (because I never had them in my tank before). I assume they came from this sand as it is natural and good bacterias are already living in it. I just let those little guys living together in my aquarium as they help to clean the tank and some people even buy them. I'm happy and satisfied:)
