Exactly what I need it. I’ll be buying more for my crew.

I bought to wear under a cloth cap while working on my own car. I have a habit of knocking my noggin into brake calipers or whatever is made of the thickest steel. My bump cap has saved me numerous bumps and cuts and just the wincing pain that accompany them. Get it. Hide it inside a cap. Noice.Problems: Moisture collects under the dome. And it could be cut just slightly differently to be more easily concealed under caps, but... not bad.

I nearly knocked myself out when pulling a vine down from a tree. Dumb of me, yes, but I was standing directly under the branch with the vine wrapped around it. The branch was dead and snapped off and fell maybe 10ft right onto my head. I had a baseball hat on, but even so I had a nice cut and golf ball size bump. First lesson is to never be under the branch when yanking something off of it…check! Second is to wear better protection when doing any work like this in my yard. Now I wear this under my baseball hat. It’s practically invisible to others and it’s reasonably comfortable, even for long periods wearing it. I’m sure I would still have had my bell rung from the branch; but I seriously doubt I would have had the cut or the golf ball lump.Don’t confuse this with a true construction hard hat, but if you just want a little extra protection when in the yard or maybe on a hike thru a wooded area, this is the perfect addition for a baseball hat.
