Works for STR-DE885
Great replacement remote! I ordered this hoping that it would work for my Sony STR-DE885 even though it wasn't listed in the specs and was pleasantly surprised that MOST functions work!! Certainly the important ones. Everything that I would need to adjust remotely indeed. If you have an STR-DE885 go for it. Save $50 or more and go with this replacement that seems to be made to Sony quality and appearance standards for a fraction of the cost. Oh, and my neighbor that I garbage-picked the receiver from was recently made aware of my success and explained that the reason they dumped it is because their remote was missing for an extended time and they were sick if getting up to adjust volume and inputs. Noice!!

just got it and put batteries in it. i have model str-de695 and it friggin worked. i took a chance. so if you have one your not sure about, give this a chance. thanks for this awesome product

Worked great out of the box...for 5 weeks
This worked great out of the box for about 5 weeks. Yesterday it died. Put in new batteries--still did not work. I know that it is the remote that has died and not a problem with the old Sony receiver, as I programmed a different universal remote and that one works.Sony STR-DG500
