UPDATE: I have since switched to Lotus Foods 11 lb bag of Black Rice because it is almost the same price and I get a lot more rice. It is also a good product. It was my first time eating black rice, and it certainly felt a lot more nutritious and healthier eating it than the normal white jasmine rice that I eat and buy (that some would say is not true jasmine rice as it is not true Thai rice). When I cooked it in the rice pot, the water boiled over and made a mess. So I later used my Instant Pot to cook it instead, and there was no mess. I used two cups of water for every cup of dry black rice. Tastes good and is healthy. I ordered this brand because it looks like a responsible brand that doesn't ship rice with bug infestations in it. You can see the contents of the rice through the clear plastic container. I will keep my eyes peeled for cheaper black rice, but there is a good chance I will order this brand again because the quality is good and the price is reasonable compared to other black rice brands.

I purchased this black rice and while the container is smaller than I initially expected, I quickly realized it's actually a great value for the price. After going to my local supermarket to compare, I found they were selling much smaller bags for $12.99 - way smaller than what I received from this Amazon purchase. The rice quality is good and cooks well. Sometimes our expectations can make things seem smaller than they are, but when you actually compare it to what's available in stores, this is definitely the better deal. Would recommend for anyone looking for black rice at a reasonable price point. Much better value than what you'll find at most grocery stores.

I laughed when I got this product. I saw all the reviews about the container being small. I normally by this brand at the store. So I figured whatever, it’ll be the same size as I get at the store. Nope. It is like 2/3 - 3/4 the size I normally get, and was the same size as the bigger containers. Will just buy it at the store moving forward. The rice itself is delicious, water turned purple when cooking it. Which I guess means it’s good quality. Cook time was typical. I enjoyed it, but I also like black rice in general. Some people do not.

This rice is delicious - I use it in place of most rice recommended in recipes. But this price is insane. If you happen to have an HEB grocery store anywhere near, it's almost half the Amazon price.

Good taste

This is not authentic black rice! You can actually see the white pieces through the jar. I was disappointed with what I was sent but tried it out anyways. The rice has to cook longer than the average white rice but the taste isn't as bad as I thought it would be considering it is suppose to be a healthier version of rice. I tried it on the stove and in rice cooker, it cooks better on the stove.

I had black rice at a sushi restaurant initially and learned how incredibly nutritious it is so i bought this one. It’s got great texture, a bit of a subtle nutty flavor and was easy to cook in my rice cooker. I will definitely be repurchasing again.

El contenedor es mucho más pequeño de lo que pensé, ¡definitivamente NO vale la pena el precio! Pago más barato para cuando pueda encontrarlo y en una caja mucho más grande. Lamentablemente es difícil de encontrar aquí. Buscaré en otro lado la próxima vez. No volveré a comprar desde aquí.

El bote es igual al que venden el Ralphs ( usa ) de 750 gr , cuando este es de 450. gr . El precio es eccessivamente caro, en HEB , Queretaro se consigue importado de Italia por $ 70.00 pesos la caja de 500gr . Y cuando te das cuenta del timo ... y lo quieres devolver, el comprador no acepta devoluciones, .
