Works as stated. Used it when the feel like temperature was about 105, one day, and about 103 the next day. I re-wet it a few times and worked the same each time. Fit was good though not adjustable. The brim gave enough coverage to protect my neck from sunburn. (With sunscreen also.) The material is lightweight & good quality. The neck cord is comfortable and was an asset when the winds came through on the second day. Last, I washed it - delicate cold cycle; it looks brand new, again and has not lost any of it's shape. Well-worth the money. Highly recommend!!!

light and breathable. cooling seems to work pretty well good coverage from the sun. bonus it makes you feel like you should be popping up out of a river holding a rifle

We own several Mission hats - great for use on vacation or the boat. - these are good quality and comfortable to wear. They dry quickly and help you keep cool all while protecting you from the sun.

Works as advertised. Keeps the sun off your ears and neck, and keeps you a little cooler than you would be without it Ordered 3 of them for me and my work crew. The order showed up quickly and none of the hats had any defects or anything. 3/3 for quality..

Comfy and has a wide brim that blocks a lot of sun, but doesn't obstruct your view at all. I got the boonie hat in the white camo color, and the camo is super subtle so I like the look. It just gives it a slightly off-white color, so it isn't too bright looking, but also still white and not beige. Maybe one of my favorite hat colors, even though I dislike camo stuff in general. The top of the hat has ventilation to keep you cool, but it does run a little warmer than some of my other boonie hats. I'm not sure if it is the ventilation or the material. I normally wear a L/XL size hat, and this is a little tight, but still fits OK. It will probably be in my rotation for summer hats, as it has very good sun protection, but keep in mind it might feel tight on a larger head. Hopefully it will break-in over time. The inside of the hat has a soft material lining the rim of the hat, so there is some relief and padding there. The cooling feature of the hat works pretty well. You wet it and then wring it out and give it some shakes. It definitely feels like an AC blowing across your head, especially if you were just sweating up a storm. The hat itself feels very durable, and I didn't find any issues in material or workmanship. I've washed it once already and wet it a few times, and worn it out golfing and it was perfect. The adjustable cord is nice if you get hit with a gust of wind, or want to take it off your head for a minute to cool off in the shade. There is also a fairly small zip pocket on the top to store a key or two, or something very small there like a couple of folded up dollar bills. It isn't big enough to fit much else (like a set of keys, wallet, credit card etc, would not fit, so don't expect much there, I didn't). Overall, the hat fits nicely, and the brim holds good shape even after washing/wetting it. It doesn't seem to get too droopy or flap around in the wind, as it has some structure. Great hat for the price.

Between my dad and I, we've got many of Missions products. This is the first item that has me disappointed. We have the other Mission Boonie and it seems to be of higher quality than this more expensive version, except for the drawstring on the newer one. Even with the better drawstring, this hat will not stay on in the wind when in a boat, due to a difference in fit. The older hat has snaps for the brim, and the newer one does not. I would not recommend this version hat over the other older Mission version.

Super lightweight and dries very quickly if you manage to get it wet. I use it mostly for when I go fishing out on the lake and this things stays on my head all day and feels great. Stays on strong while going at high speeds and keeps the sun away.

Good cool hat. It definitely kept me cool. 100° Texas summer time I recommend highly
