These are a great purchase if you have an axolotl! They provide additional nutrition which is great for a worm-based diet animal. We were recommended these (and Grub Pie) by a top rated aquatic vet, to add on to my Axolotl’s diet since he was suffering from Red Foot Disease and consistent fungal infections. I was worried because some reviews mention that their axolotl’s did not eat them, but there is a trick to getting my guy to eat them. (The pellets are hard and irregularly shaped compared to worms so letting them soak in water for a couple minutes first helps a lot! Sometimes he’ll spit them back out, but we just try again with the same pellet and he’ll eat them the second time)

Great value. Our axolotl seems to eat without issue. No bad smell. Quality pellets that are easy to eat.

Got it for feeding to assassin snails, since they ran out of prey in my tank. They'll eat it alright, although I don't know how nutritious it is for them. In the end, I just put the remaining assassins in my pea puffer tank to be eaten... a bit sad, but they didn't seem super healthy on this food anyway. It might be great for axolotls, although I'm guessing like with many animals, it's just a lazy way to feed them something tolerable, and not really what they'd prefer to eat.

They are large and sink to the bottom. My axolotl eats them and I remove extras when he is finished. It is helpful to use a dish if you have sand in your tank.

They the only pellets my axolotl actually enjoys besides worms. You do have to keep them in air tight container to keep them fresh my son left one bag open and they got extremely hard. We had to get another bag.

My adult leucistic has been rejecting worms lately and losing significant weight, so I thought I'd try another food for her. She took to these pellets right away and has been gaining weight since! They're soft enough to feed right out of the bag, but for a picky lotl you can let them sit in a bit of water for a minute or so. They're pretty pungent, which is good because it definitely attracts picky eaters. I keep the bag refrigerated to keep it fresh for longer.

Disappointed by this most recent order. Pellets were dry and stale out of the bag and almost rock hard. My Axie won't eat them and I don't blame them. I won't be ordering or recommending this product again.

Easy to use and very good for soothing and helping cracks heal in the winter.
