SCHLAGE Brushed Chrome FE595CS V PLY 626 ELA Plymouth Light Commercial Electronic Keypad Lock with Elan Lever(Satin Chrome)

Purchased for the service door on my new barn. Like all the other Schlage electronic locks I have and have had, this one works great! The stainless finish looks professional on my service door. It fits the door perfectly and appears quite strong. It's great not needing a key whenever I decide to pop into the shop for a tool. I am very satisfied with this lock.

Installed this on my garage door. So far, I love it! Installation was a bit harder than it needed to be while trying to tuck away the cords and connectors to allow the lock side to snap on and sit flush to the door. Besides that, programming it was quite the breeze. Hitting the 'schlage' button at the top illuminates all of the keys with a bright blue light making it very easy to enter your code in the dark. Feels very secure and sturdy. Has been through some rough Pacific Northwest rain storms thus far and no shorting out. Curious to see how long the battery lasts. UPDATE: 12/16/2018 I still have not had to replace the battery, and we use the garage door multiple times per day. We love this lock so much that we purchased another one for our back door. It's awesome not having to fumble around with keys while holding kids and groceries! No regrets here! If you're on the fence, definitely worth the $100!

Very pleased with this product. In fact, I went and got a second one and wondered what took me so long the get these. Easy to install, program and use. The keypad lights up by touching the top oval button, therefore making it easy to use in the dark. With regard to the appearance, which is as important to me as functionality, it is very nice looking and seems to be of high quality. To me it was a good buy and the value is there. Been a Schlage consumer for a long time but I did weigh others against Schlage and nothing beat it for the money.

It doesn’t seem possible to lock the door from the inside, to keep someone one or something from leaving the house while I stay inside. It also seems improbable for that to be the case so I’ll keep trying different locking positions.

No it doesn't connect to the internet, but it's a really well built door lock that lets you get in without a key. It's obviously not the latest technology, but not all of us need that in every situation. I actually paired it with a Schlage Encode Plus door bolt Super easy to install, super super easy to program but make sure you keep the instructions for the programming code. Highly recommended great for residential heavy use doors.

I wanted to purchase this specific lock from day 1, I purchased a couple more that I was not fully satisfied with. I ended up getting this one in the end and am more than happy I got this. Compared to other brands, this specific one feels like a true commercial grade, built to last. Any time I need a lock like this, this would be my first choice. My family member has several of these they have taken to another country and live on the beach, with all the salt air and daily use, not a single one has failed them after many years. The only thing is the numbers on the keypad are getting worn out but again, daily use throughout, with extreme weather conditions, temperature, rains, humidity.

I hired an installer via Amazon, and it was quick and easy. The lock has worked fine for 13 months. Today, it inexplicably stopped locking. The Schlage website is worse than useless - the FAQs all direct users to sign up for the newsletter, the pdf download with instructions triggers and error, the "chat" is just a bot without much programming, and the large cookie pop-up continues to pop on each page. I found YouTube videos to change the battery and restore the lock to its factory settings, but the problem is still not resolved; the lock does not lock. I've been trying to call them for close to an hour, keep getting disconnected. So bottom line: the product fails and they are not available to help fix it.

Really nice quality feel to this. Installed easily in the existing holes in my door. The only slightly tricky bit was routing the battery cable through the housing the correct way so that it could be tightened down without pinching. Easy to program codes. Handle direction easily switchable. Included a good quality 9v battery, which was appreciated. I like that you just leave the inside switch in the auto-lock position and then forget about it - locks automatically and you use your code to enter. Not a smart lock so can't unlock remotely but that wasn't a feature I needed, so this was a good choice. Will likely buy them for all my doors.

Had an individual walk into our music school and steal wallets, clothing, and instruments. We are a busy school with over 450 students and we were open at the time. Needless to say we needed to increase our security. We purchased this door key entry pad and 10 security cameras as an extra buffer zone. Every student has to enter the code to get in. Students are provided with a code; staff another code. It's not fool proof but it's just an added layer of protection. The key pad was professionally installed and as we're in Canada, I was worried about the key pad freezing up and having to change the battery every 2 days so I made sure to buy the door entry pad with the battery on the inside. It was installed approx Jan 12th and the door is used 100's of times per week and it's now almost May and I have not changed the battery yet. Impressed! Very sturdy, well made solid construction and is very easy to use and program. Highly recommended!
