Perfect fit

The geniuses who built my house thought that plugging the jet bathtub into a socket that is encased inside of a wall of my house was a good idea - we found this when several electric sockets stopped working in one of our upstairs bathrooms and no breakers were flipped. After four hours of an electrician beating his head on the wall, investigating how the tub got power, and why these power sockets stopped working, he knocked a random hole in the wall by the tub to take a peak and saw that the jet tub (that we have never used nor ever would use) was plugged into a wall socket that was inside the wall of the house - just like you plug a vacuum into a wall socket, but this socket was encased in the wall. The electrician pressed the little reset button on the power socket, and power came back to the tub and the three power sockets that were chained behind that one - how/why the overload button flipped in the first place is still a mystery - we barely use that bathroom or that area of the house. I bought this panel to not only give us access for pressing the button on the power socket, if needed again, and to fill the hole left by the electrician, so our cats don’t climb into the walls of the house, creating a whole different issue - and I assure you, bear bear, Jeffrey and probably Squeaky would get lost in the walls of the house quickly and not come out, even if the snack jar was shaken by the hole in the wall. This panel solves that issue, and makes the wall look nice. Also easy to install. I squared up the hole the electrician made in the drywall and slapped the panel in there. It fit snug enough that I didn’t have to secure it with screws, but you can secure it if you need to.

This is just what we needed in the laundry area of our condo to provide access to connection points in electrical wiring after relocating some light switches during our remodel. Our only issue is you need a tool or at least a coin, to pry open the door. It's nice that it's hinged and secure, but a tab or something to make it easier to open would be nice.

My husband used this to cover our clothes dryer vent since we went with a ventless dryer. It was easy for him to install and if future owners what to vent the dryer it will be easy to use.

Purchased this for the ceiling in our dinning room. We had a pipe issue and once repaired we thought it more logical to have an access door in the event we needed further repair. Installation was easy . Highly recommend .
