Two questions — Where is it made? Will it protect furniture from cat scratches?

Yes, this product can effectively prevent pets from scratching furniture and can better protect your furniture.

Is it hot to sleep under?

Not really, but it's definitely better with an ac or a fan in hot summer days.

Does the back stay up?

I got mine large enough to drape over the back of the couch and it stays up fairly well unless the dogs are having a good romp on it.

Is the dark stone/light stone color gray tone or beige/tan tone?

I just bought a tan beige color not grey
