Does this have any type of check valve to prevent backflow?

Sorry, this diverter valve is without check valve.

7/8 or 15/16 which is it, it can't be both. Also can this be connected directly to a bathroom sink faucet rather than underneath the sink?

The way I set up this bidet is I connected it under the toilet tank, it's the easiest way.
