Cuisinart 12-Cup Coffee Maker, Single-Serve Brewer Glass Carafe, Automatic Hot & Iced Coffee Machine, Brew Strength Control and Brew Pause, SS-16W, White

I got this coffee maker to replace one we had which got to be just too cumbersome to deal with. It was an expensive brand, but it had to be cleaned constantly, even more often than the directions mentioned. After the last cleaning cycle, it just refused to work, giving an error message about needle being clogged, which it wasn’t. Upon first use, I was extremely impressed how fast this thing made a cup of coffee! Literally, less than 3 minutes after pressing the start button, my coffee was ready. And with this machine, you have the option of what size cup you want to brew, up to a 12 ounce cup. This is good for those who like stronger coffee or maybe weaker coffee. It has a single serve basket which is easy to clean and easy to use. Just fill it up, place inside the holder and into the slot where it goes, and you’re brewing. It has a 42 ounce water reservoir in back which holds a good amount of water but it isn’t too large so it will have to be filled every 3-4 days, depending on the size cup you brew and how many daily. You can also use the K cups as well. The machine also makes a full pot rather quickly as well and it comes with one of those reusable filters, or you can use regular paper filters. And of course it has timer functions for brewing later or at a set time. Overall, this is a really nice coffee maker, I really like how it works, especially the fast brewing. So far, it hasn’t needed cleaning but it does have a cleaning function, but I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet. This coffee maker has a ton of features, all of which make it a very functional product but, where it stands out most is in how fast it brews coffee. My wife and I both simply love this thing!

We enjoy the craft side of this coffee machine. We have had major issues with the pod side. Each time we use it, since the first time, it overflows and grounds get all in the cup of coffee and also all in and around the machine. It is a pain to clean the grounds out of the machine because no parts come out to clean, you just have to wipe inside and around until all the grounds are gone, this is very time consuming. Also when I contacted Cuisinart customer service I do not think their return policy is fair. They want me to cut the cord to the machine, take a picture of this, send back the machine and then wait 2 weeks for the replacement, therefore we would be without a coffee pot for two weeks because they sell a faulty product? If I have to go out and get a new coffee pot I’m going to buy a new one and not waste 200$ on one that doesn’t work well. I asked if they could charge me for the new one, ship it and then refund me when they get my broken one back, so we can use the craft side in the mean time, so we don’t have to be without one. They told me no, and I will have to go without and wait for the replacement. Seems strange, I asked why they operate this way and they responded, “we have alot of fraud and don’t trust customers to return the products”. Well welcome to the world, everyone deals with fraud, unfortunately part of owning a company is making the customer happy and standing behind your product. Very disappointed in this company and the product quality. Do not buy this machine!

I am loving my coffee center by Cuisinart. I love the options of 1 cup or a full pot. The coffee is nice and hot and there are so many features like changing the heat on the plate that keeps the pot warm. It also looks nice on my counter. It's very easy to use. The only issue I had was the pod side would not work at first so I got on YouTube and it showed a button behind where the arrow for the pod is. You have to push it a few times and loosen it up and then it works. I didn't see anything in the booklet about that. It's very easy to clean and easy to put back together. I got the dark Grey metal and I just love it.

I shopped around for quite a while before deciding on this Cuisinart, and I’m really happy with my purchase. I previously had a single-serve Keurig that I loved and had forever, but now that both my boyfriend and I work from home, making one cup at a time just wasn’t cutting it anymore. K-Cups were getting expensive, and using ground coffee in a reusable pod every time we wanted another cup became tedious. I love that this gives us the best of both worlds. We can make a full pot of coffee in the morning but still have the single-serve option when one of us just wants a cup of tea or something different. We haven’t tried the iced coffee feature yet, but I love having the option. One of my favorite features is the programmable timer. We have ours set to start brewing every morning at 6:00 a.m., so the coffee is ready when we get up. It’s such a small thing, but it makes our mornings so much easier. The price was reasonable for everything it does, and I also love that it comes in white. My kitchen is mostly white, so it fits in perfectly and has a really clean look on the counter. The only issue we’ve noticed is that a small amount of water can leak from the bottom when we move the machine. It hasn’t been enough to be a big deal for us, but it is something worth mentioning. Overall, I would absolutely recommend it, especially for a household with more than one coffee drinker. It was exactly the upgrade we needed from our single-serve machine.

Wanted the option of a pot of coffee or K-Cup and the Cuisinart SS-16 came highly recommended. Brews a pot of coffee quickly. The K-Cup side works well although one has to push down on the lever a bit harder after placing the pod in the device. The water reservoir for the K- Cup is a bit small. And the water level indicator on the brew coffee side is a bit hard to see. The coffeemaker is a bit taller than most so while it fits under cabinets, one can’t open the brew side reservoir or access the K-Cup reservoir without sliding the machine out from under the cabinets. I got a sliding shelf to place the device on to make sliding easier. So while it’s not a perfect coffeemaker, it’s still the best out there.

I purchased this coffeemaker to replace my old Cuisinart which I had for years with no problems. Unfortunately they do not make the model anymore and this is the new model. In the 10 months I have had it I have had to contact the company twice because of problems. In December the pod stopped working and after cleaning and doing a factory reset twice I finally got it to work. Just 2 days ago the carafe side stopped working. Completely died, no heat or water movement. Nothing. Again I had to contact customer support and am awaiting a response. I gave them all the information they needed and did everything they suggested in December. I would just like to return it and get my money back. Very disappointed in this Cuisinart SS-16 model. UPDATE : 3/26 Customer service emailed back After answering questions and trying their suggestions they emailed me and said they would replace the unit. I had to send a picture of the unit with the cord cut and they replied that I should receive the new coffeemaker in 7-10 business days. Customer service was very responsive. I’m hoping this next coffeemaker will last as long as my original one did.

I looked all over for a new coffee pot. I knew I wanted one that could do a single cup in a pot. This one fits the bill. It’s more than I wanted to spend on a coffee pot, but it is nice looking and makes a good cup of coffee.

I absolutely love this new coffee pot in the features that it has. My old Cuisinart died after 13 years. So absolutely decided to continue with a Cuisinart brand. This one reasonably priced, lots of new features. I love the ice feature. Made a Matcha tea iced and was not afraid to put it in a glass container while brewing. I like it has a visible reservoir for the water. I don’t use K cups, but I definitely will try using the device that comes with it to a k- cup with my own coffee. Easy to set up easy to use.

We had a Cusinart coffee maker for about 20 years, used it daily and it lasted that long. Last month, the water tank started leaking, so we had to get a new one. We had a Keurig but it was kinda crowded on the coffee cart, so I sold it and bought this one. So happy with my purchase! It’s easy to use, the single serve has more oz options than the old one and the coffee maker has a bold feature too. I got it for a really good price too! I hope it lasts as long as the last one!

We've always liked the Cuisinart name, liked the dual brew option and needed a new coffee pot. We purchased the coffee maker on October 30, 2024. It worked great, for a while. On April 5th, the maker stopped brewing after 1/3 of the carafe was full. The lights stayed on and everything was normal except for the fact it would no longer make coffee. As per the instruction manual, I unplugged the unit for a couple of minutes and tried again. The lights came on as usual but no luck with making coffee. I unplugged it again for a couple hours, but no change. I unplugged it overnight and tried it again the next morning with the same results. I called customer service on Monday morning and waited all day for a call back. The representative was quite abrupt, told me to send in my Amazon receipt and wait for a response - with no assurance of a response time. I liked the produce and know that sometimes things happen. I believe this company needs to have a more straightforward process to deal with issues like this - and would do well to upgrade the people in their call center...

Love everything except we are having a problem with exploding pods which is very messy, expensive and annoying. Not all the time, but once is too much.
