Was thinking about using Megquiar's ultimate compound before using this kit, does the condition/polish do the same thing? thanks

Not sure if you really need Megquiar's ultimate compound. I use just Black Box kit and get excellent shine everytime.

Is the pre wax cleaner a car wash soap? Or do I need to wash my car with something else first?

No it is not a car wash soap, but another liquid wax that you apply in small sections with the applicator. It'll turn your hands black, like everything else contained in that box. You'll need to wash the car with your normal car soap first. Then pre wax. Then wax. And FYI, it's not worth it. I've only owned black cars for 20 years, wax them all 3x a year, and this is the worst product I have ever come across. The wax is insanely hard to remove. The retailer streaks awful and is also hard to remove. And your hands will be black for days.

Jet Wax on front of box VS Black Box The Item numbers are the same, but I am looking for the heavier carnauba wax. Is this the same or is it the thinner version? Thanks

Hi, I am not sure, but it IS thin liquid wax, wash, "the setting solution" and all BUT it looks like a thick wax by the shine you'll have after and I LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!!It makes my 2002 PT Cruiser look like it just came out of the showroom................hides most swirrels and scratches and the wax leaves it looking like glass!!You WILL use A LOT of "elbow grease" and it is a 4 step process BUT....WOW!!! I should post a photo on here to show you all how it looks!Jan...Roch NY
