British Berkefeld Doulton W9120133 Ultra Fluoride Ceramic Drinking Water Filter Candle Cartridge

Purchased these filters to replace the ones we’ve been using. Rinse off and allow your filters to filter through water, dump the water(will taste a bit off) and the next batch of filtered water will taste fine. It is easy to rinse to clean and install. Works well and our filtered water tastes great! Worth our money.

I tried another popular brand of filters to replace my Berkey black filters but my water with the other brand tasted bad. So I decided to try Doulton. They don’t ship to the US so Amazon it is. They have a way to authenticate your filters through the website using the ID numbers that are on the filters. So you can rest assured you are getting the real deal. These filter real slow like Berkey black filters so I trust these more than my previous replacement brand. Best part is my water tastes great again.

I have had my Big Berkey for at least 6 years and had been extremely frustrated when I couldn’t get filters directly from the manufacturer. I wish I had known about these Berkefeld filters from the UK. They are far superior to the Berkey filters that were double the price! My water tastes better than it ever did before and I am noticing I don’t have to do as many rinsing between regular cleaning! No funky sediment and biofilm like before! Superior filters imho!

For anyone having difficuly getting these in the US try discountfilterstore dot com as they are based in the us in MN I think. I prefer these filter due to the recent controversy with Berkey. These aslo only require 1 filter for both flouride and other contaminants (pathogens etc). The filter is ceramic outside with other elements inside and is beige in color. I buy 3 - 4 at a time to speed up the filtration speed.

Bought these to replace berkey black filters. After a year, I’m happy to get rid of them. First, the water had an off taste for weeks after installation. It tasted like ceramic. Then about 1 year in, mold or mildew started growing on the surface, imparting a mildew flavor to the water immediately after filtering it. I tried removing and washing to no avail. The filters were ruined. I wouldn’t buy these again now that black filters are back on the market.

I waited about a week before leaving this review. I ran like 4 cycles through and that was ample time to get rid pf the weird taste. Now my water tastes amazing! I use my Berkey filter and it fits great and is such a great deal.

I was hoping that these filters would be what I needed and give good water. I have a distiller and the distilled water is the absolute best. The water coming from the Doulton filters is barely passable a month after installing them. At first they were ok but not good. The TDS meter is showing a good deal of total dissolved solids after one trip thru the Doulton ceramic filters. Which is to be expected since they are not intended to remove the minerals from the water. My next purchase will be ceramic filters, just not Doulton ones!!!!
