Tuck Stitches: Sophistication in Handknitting

This is interesting information that you can't find elsewhere. Marchant has spent years working variations on brioche stitches, and has lots of experience in teaching and explaining these techniques. The book is clearly laid out, well organized, and well photographed. I highly recommend the book. I am the kind of person who finds knitting books interesting to flip through, but usually there are only a few pages that I would want to remember, and I don't even care to house the book on my shelves for that. This book is different. You get lots of clear photos of interesting and attractive allover textural patterns that can be made using tuck stitches. It's a very useful reference volume for designing your own knitting projects. I'm very happy to have this book.

Love this book. One important thing is the charts need to be larger and clearer. It will easily get that last star with that improvement.

Nancy Marchant is amazing! I was inspired to learn two color brioche after discovering her book knitting fresh brioche. This new book is exciting and also includes inspirational projects. As in her knitting fresh brioche book lots of great photos and well written descriptions. If you haven't seen her work before...you need to learn more about her!

This is a treasure of a resource and I appreciate all of the work that has gone into the research and execution of all of the beautiful samples. The photography, however, is unfortunately not crisp and clear where it needs to be. I’m not speaking of the artistic renderings of the garments, where the out-of-focus areas are on purpose. I’m speaking of the chart examples. I want to be able to see the stitches.

This book is a deep dive into the techniques of tuck stitches. With so many options for buying knitting patterns online these days I prefer books that explore techniques and allow me to grow my skill set.

Wer das eher Ungewöhnliche aber nicht Aufdringliche mag und gerne etwas experimentiert, der sollte hier zugreifen.
