Excellent product for getting rid of ants. I use it every year.
This is the third time I've bought this product for use in my yard. I have tried sprays, granules, and other ant repellants or poison, but I didn't find anything that was as effective as this, not to mention it's easy to use, and works almost immediately. I put about six of these in different areas of my yard and around the flower bed where I had seen the most ant activity. There are no special installation instructions, just cut the corner off the bait package, stick it on the ground, and leave it. The ants will find the bait and track it back to their nest where it kills ants at the source. Because the baits are dark green plastic, they tend to blend in with your grass, so I would recommend putting these out right after you mow and trim your grass, so you're less likely to hit them when you mow. I found a significant reduction in ant activity within just a couple of days, and pretty much no activity after the third day. I just left the baits out for a few more weeks as long as they still had bait in them, and had not filled up with rain. I would not recommend putting these out right before a period of rain, as the liquid bait might be diluted. We don't have pets or children, but I would be concerned about putting them out where they're accessible to children or pets. I don't know what the effects of the liquid would be on them.

Banish those ants
I've used Terro inside traps in the recent past & had success with them in my kitchen so I decided to try the outdoor ones before ant season started. I'm thrilled to say they worked. They worked so well that I did not have to purchase any indoor ones !!! Of course I ended up using many more outside then inside but just not having creepy ants crawling on my kitchen counters made it worthwhile.

It worked to stop the very tiny ants
I put these around outside along the side of my home as I was having trouble with very tiny little ants coming in the Kitchen. It took a few days or a week or so, but now the ants have stopped coming in the Kitchen. Before I would spray by the window where they were coming in and they would stop a few hours and then come back. I put the granules down outside as well, but they don't seem to stop the very tiny ants. The only thing I have found to stop the very tiny ants is bait traps like this outside. I used to use another kind and have never used these liquid traps, which I was not wild about since the liquid could just pour out if the thing got knocked over. I would not use these in the back yard where my dog goes, because he decided to get curious about one of these, the liquid would run out.

Decent Outdoor Ant Control That Helps, but Isnโt a Complete Knockout
The TERRO liquid ant baits for outdoor use do an okay job overall, but they donโt feel quite as effective as they could be. They work, just not as aggressively or consistently as you might expect if youโve used TERRO products indoors or had really stubborn ant activity outside. On the positive side, the stakes are convenient and easy to use. You simply place them in the ground near ant trails, entry points, or areas where ants are active, and youโre done. Thereโs no mixing, no mess, and no guesswork. The design keeps the bait protected from rain and pets, which is important for outdoor placement. Having 12 stakes in the package also gives you flexibility to cover multiple problem areas around the yard, patio, or foundation. The liquid bait does attract ants, but not always as quickly or aggressively as hoped. In some spots, ants found the bait fairly fast and activity picked up around the stakes. In other areas, it took much longer for ants to show interest, and some stakes seemed to be mostly ignored. When ants do feed on it consistently, you do see a reduction over time, but itโs more gradual than dramatic. Effectiveness feels a bit hit or miss depending on the ant type and location. It helps reduce visible activity, but it doesnโt always feel like it fully wipes out the colony. In my experience, you may need to reposition stakes, use additional treatments, or be patient longer than expected to see meaningful results. Itโs helpful as part of an overall ant control strategy, but it may not be strong enough on its own for heavier infestations. Build and formulation quality are fine. The stakes hold up well outdoors, donโt leak, and are easy to remove or relocate. They also last a reasonable amount of time before needing replacement, which is good for ongoing control rather than a one-time fix. Overall, these TERRO outdoor ant baits are useful and do provide some level of control, but they arenโt a miracle solution. They work best for light to moderate ant problems and when ants actively take the bait. With stronger attraction or faster colony impact, they could easily be a five-star product. As they are now, four stars feels fair.

Safe, Effective, Odorless
Works great for those tiny concrete ants. Was using a "bug company" and they were a huge waste. Get these, in a couple days, ants are gone!

Terro works!
Terro works! It has always worked! I have purchased other brands when Terro was sold out or not sold in a store and I have been disappointed with other brands every single time. The product is sticky and a bit difficult to clean if some leaks out of the trap, but it absolutely does clean off any hard surface without leaving residual residue. It is effective for a pretty long period of time and the material holds up well even when exposed to direct sunlight and rain. Terro might be a bit more expensive than other brands, but it works and takes care of the ant problem before it becomes an even bigger problem.

Great job killing ants which in turn drastically reduces the aphid population!
Did a an AMAZING job of significantly reducing the sugar ants in my flower garden. Did you know ants and aphids share a symbiotic relationship? Aphids feed on plant sap and excrete a sugary, nutrient-rich liquid waste called honeydew. Ants protect the aphids from predators in exchange for this sweet, reliable food source. The ants also carry aphids to neighboring plants to spread them. Kill the ants, the aphid population drastically reduces. All of my Rose of Sharon trees are doing amazing and not covered in aphids thanks to this product.
