Portable Spot Cleaner Machine for Carpet and Upholstery

I love so much about this cleaner. It got up stains that my professional cleaner company did not do such a good job on. This dirt devil is really cute and just the right size. Consumer reports talked about the size of this machine in a negative light, but the whole point is to spot clean - not clean a whole room. If I wanted to clean a large area, I would get a full sized machine. So, this dirt devil doesn't clean as large an area as other mini-cleaners, but it cleaned plenty of stains in one go and it's nice an small/more compact compared to other cleaners, which makes me very happy. You have to use a lot of elbow grease/pressure, but this machine really does have a lot of suction/power and was able to get up an impressive amount of moisture. So my carpet dries relatively fast. Finally, this machine is a fraction of the price of other portable carpet cleaners. I think it is a fantastic value for the money. This is the main reason I don't mind too much that there is no place to store the two brush heads. I can deal with that for this price. ******* The only con on this device is how hard it is to remove one of the brush heads. It is REALLY hard. And this is ridiculous, because the other brush head is very easy to remove. It has a different way of attaching. There's no reason they couldn't use the easy attachment for both heads. If the price wasn't so good, I would have subtracted a star or two for this. But maybe for the price, it is something to overlook??? ******* WARNING They sent me the wrong model. The box I got had only one brush head (by design for that box - not that it was missing for the box), but the picture and ad on this page clearly show two brush heads. I called customer support and they eventually made it right, but it took a really long time, including sending the wrong head at first. I've had far worse experiences with customer service at other companies. But this wasn't the best of experiences either. It decided in the end that it wasn't worth removing a star over, but I wanted to warn people, because once you get the box, you might easily forget that you were supposed to get 2 heads if the same error happens to you.

I’ve been using this portable spot cleaner, and it’s a great option for tackling everyday stains and spills. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and simple to use. I like that it works well on carpets, upholstery, mattresses, stairs, and even car seats. This little gem is great for small messes. I especially like the fact that there’s a hose rinse so the machine doesn’t stink. It cleaned great and is very easy to empty and clean. I have used Little Green and like this much better. Only thing I would like onboard storage of the tools. I did two 2 x 3 rugs and had to fill the tank twice and empty twice. Love that it’s very compact and really got the dirt out.

Hi my name is Alexis and I am ADDICTED to cleaning my carpets. I added this thing to my baby registry and gifted it to myself because anyone who has ever been pregnant knows about going on an unhinged rage cleaning spree where nothing is off limits. DON'T GET THIS MACHINE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO BECOME OBSESSED WITH IT BECAUSE IT IS SO SATISFYING!!! First off this thing is excellent for dried blood stains (I promise I'm not a serial killer). Sadly we lost a dog last year to a cancerous tumor on his nose that metastasized. The last week or so of his life, he was basically just dripping puddles of blood all over our carpets from his nose and mouth. I did my best at the time on my hands and knees with a spray bottle of carpet cleaner. When I got this thing 10 months later, I certainly didn't have high expectations for dried on, set in, year-old blood stains. However, the stain striker took care of those like they were nothing. So then I moved on to the cushions of our ottoman that can't be laundered. I was in awe!! The satisfaction of dumping the black brown water that you get out of the surfaces of your home quickly becomes intoxicating. So then I thought I'd throw the hardest thing I had at the machine, my car seats that have never been cleaned in my 11 year-old car. My passenger seat looked like a crime scene (again...not a serial killer but someone who is way too trusting of takeout Tupperware when I know I drive like I'm in Grand Theft Auto). I had put an uncooked French toast casserole on the front seat once 6 years ago and it leaked everywhere. I never cleaned it and figured after years of 100 degree summers since, baked on egg custard on upholstery was there to stay. I honestly would have been stoked if my car seats just looked half as bad when I got done with them, but they LOOK BRAND NEW!! I may have gotten carried away and did the entire car upholstery and carpets for 5 hours at 4 days before my due date at the risk of delivering spontaneously in my driveway. My husband tried to convince me to stop on my third tank of solution and with a crazed glint in my eye, but he's terrified of me and should be because I can clean up blood now if he pisses me off. The parts are extremely easy to rinse clean and the solution that comes with it smells really refreshing, and the price point feels like an absolute steal.

I bought this mainly to tackle dog urine spots on our carpet, and I was honestly impressed with how well it worked. I don't have a before and after photo but if I did you would be shocked at how well this thing cleaned my daughter's carpet. She moved up to college and decided it was a good idea to foster puppies. The puppies were not kind to her carpet and it desperately needed cleaned. Before we spent big money on a professional cleaner, I decided to buy this portable guy to see if it would do the job... and it was a success!! It did take a little bit longer to manually clean the carpet but she's young and has lots of energy and flexibility. It would be ideal for upholstery, furniture or area rugs. Still, it's good to know that if you needed to clean an entire room, it'll do the job! You'll want to get a few bottles of the cleaner to have on hand so you're ready to go with pet messes, spills, or any impending accident. This little guy is powerful, mighty and ready to help! We've only used it once so I'm not sure how it holds up but so far I'm impressed and would buy it again!

If you're looking for a one-liner, here it is: I want to spot-clean everything. Living with seven pets, messes are just a part of life. It's like pets aim their vomits or accidents at carpet or furniture.. any sort of fabric to soil rather than the nice and easy-to-clean wood flooring or tile. Having to use half a roll of paper towels, and a rag or two to clean the fabrics is frustrating, and made me dread even having pets indoors. Even though I have done it for years at this point, the final straw was when a dog decided the holiday tree was a superb spot to pee. It soiled the fake snow, the skirt, and the rug underneath. We tossed the snow and skirt because we couldn't really wash those. To clean the rug, I was again cleaning with paper towels, rags, laundry detergent, and carpet freshener. With this method, I did feel not feel the carpet was truly becoming clean. It made me feel gross about my home, even though I clean it in other ways every week. In comes deal days, where I found this spot cleaner advertised. I had been wanting one, and sure, I could have asked for it as a gift, but I really wanted it sooner. So I sprung on the deal and made the purchase. It arrived, and sat for a few days before suddenly a dog gets an upset stomach and vomits on - the rug. Yes, the same rug. I whip out this machine and read the instructions. I use a paper towel to pick up the solids, then added water and cleaner to the machine and chose a head for the hose (it comes with two heads). I turn it on and start cleaning. I spray the cleaner/water mix onto the rug and then start vacuuming it up. WOOOOOOOOW - was my internal thought the entire time. It was so awesome to see the grossness just disappear with ease. Since the heads are clear, you can see when the water starts to run clear and it assures you the spot is indeed clean! And since it is a vacuum, you can keep vacuuming until you see no more water flowing into it and you know you have gotten it all. The spot does stay a little damp after, but not nearly as bad as if you used just a rag and cleaner. The dog continued to have an upset stomach for a week, and even though I was walking him often, he had an accident on our bathroom rug. Again, not any of the tile of the entire other portion of our bathroom - just the small rug. In comes this tool again. Effortless. I do advise, make sure you remove the solids.. or.. the excess bits as best you can before using it. It's just overall healthier for the machine and makes it less disgusting to clean. The machine itself can be cleaned pretty easily. To clean the hose, just suck up clean water for a bit and then air to help dry it out. Take the tank out and head off the hose and run them with soap and water. Dry them before putting them back into the machine. That's it! Now I am prepared for any and all messes, and am telling myself not to 'spot clean' the entire house just because this machine is so fun to use.

This leaked from the first use. Also this cleaner is for smaller spots and small carpets. If you have a bigger carpet to clean, get a bigger product. I had to return it because I wanted something to clean the whole carpet and it didn’t work out for me.

We have had a number of carpet cleaning machines over the years, both upright and portable. Each of them eventually succumbed to suction problems - difficult to clean the cleaning solution out after use. We ordered this unit based on reviews after our portable green machine packed it in. Very impressive. Light weight, simply to use, great suction and for the first time, a clean out port to ensure the solution is fully removed before storage. Brilliant! Highly recommend.

This product is truly a miracle worker! It effectively removes stains from carpets, car seats, and more, making surfaces look almost brand new. While it’s an amazing product, I did find that it sometimes requires multiple passes over the same spot, especially if the area is heavily soiled—it’s difficult to achieve a clean result in just one attempt. Additionally, I noticed that to get a thorough clean, I had to apply a bit more pressure. However, I’d advise caution, as applying too much force could potentially cause damage to the device. I only used extra pressure due to the severity of the stains.
