Tasty and great price
These are tasty. Although, I eat them occasionally, I mainly get them as treats for my husky. I wish they would come in water instead of oil but he absolutely loves them and they are much less money and much higher quality then real dog treats or Omega-3 supplements--which he will never need by eating this herring and this brand of sardines that I also buy him and that do come in water.

Tasty, but contains crunchy little bones
I don't eat sardines because of the little bones. These fish steaks have the same crunch. For those who enjoy that, or in need of the calcium, these are a good buy.

I was expecting a more traditional smoked kipper, these are neither. nor do they say they are. They ARE edible with some salt and pepper, or maybe a little pepper flake as sort of a fish steak helper. The fish is herring & it's been steaked into a can full of individual portions as opposed to 1 or 2 pcs like the smoked kippered herring which next time I'll buy.

I am totally into the polar fish steaks in all three flavors. I love the chunky meat, and the skin doesn't creep me out the way it does on the fillets. The oil is very lightly applied, which is great.
