Great alternative to branded instants - however, they are thicker and take a longer time to dissolve - definitely not ‘instant’! However they do still do the required job. Would recommend rubbing the tablet with tongue against your palate to help dissolve and absorb.

If I could give half or even no star for these I would. Be advised that if you purchase these to have handy for emergencies or to take discreetly in say social situations, that you will have the greatest difficult in (a) not spitting them straight out again (b) being sick on the spot or (c) have people enquire if you're ok as your face looks like it is imploding in on itself. Why ? They taste absolutely VILE ! Now, let’s not kid ourselves, something medicinal for diarrhoea is never going to taste lovely but you would at least expect to be able to man up, throw it in your mouth, shudder at the taste and be done with it. These take a shudder to a whole new level. The taste starts off sort of pepperminty but rapidly changes to the most bitter taste I have come across. I was at home taking one of these and let me tell you it was a battle to stop myself from retching and spitting it out. However, I wanted to test them in safety so to speak before relying on them when I was out and about.I would rather pay the extra for Immodium instants which I've used before and which while they don't taste nice, would not have me diving in the left-over Trick or Treat sweets in a mad frenzy for something to take the taste away ! Just a friendly warning.

took them with me for holiday to Thailand , fortunately i didn't need them but a mate did and worked ok'ish.
