Winziger ESP32 mit erstaunlich vielen Möglichkeiten
Mein erster ESP32 und ich bin wirklich beeindruckt, was mit so einem kleinen Modul alles möglich ist. Ich setze den Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3 zusammen mit Home Assistant und ESPHome ein. Mein konkretes Projekt war die Einbindung eines SwitchBot Keypad Vision Pro in Home Assistant. Der ESP32 übernimmt dabei die Bluetooth-Kommunikation mit dem SwitchBot Keypad und stellt die entsprechenden Ereignisse über WLAN in Home Assistant zur Verfügung. Dadurch kann beispielsweise eine erfolgreiche Entsperrung per PIN, NFC-Karte oder Fingerabdruck erkannt und anschließend eine Automation ausgelöst werden. Bei mir wird damit über Home Assistant und einen Shelly das Eingangstor geöffnet. Die Einrichtung und Programmierung über ESPHome funktionierte problemlos. WLAN und Bluetooth laufen stabil und trotz der winzigen Abmessungen bietet der XIAO ESP32-S3 für solche Smart-Home-Projekte erstaunlich viele Möglichkeiten. Für mich ein tolles kleines Stück Hardware und sicherlich nicht mein letztes ESP32-Projekt. Klare Empfehlung.
