skill issue
Easy to use after a week. I botched my seasoning since I learned that it needs a lot less heat than I thought and I was burning everything because of that. I use an electric glass cooktop and stick it on the big burner and get uneven heat on contact but it works like it’s supposed to anyways. I clean it with dish soap and water and then oil it up after but that’s not needed since I use it twice a day. If I can learn how to wok, then everyone can. The temp is crucial because it sticks with too much and too little heat and I can fry eggs now since they are slidey boyz. Uses similar temps as my old nonstick with the same amount of preheat for good measure.tldr; wok good, lower temps and oil amount crucial, clean with soap and dry immediately, oil up for the competitionoh yeah make sure you get a stainless spatula and chain mail to scrape the gunk off after a bad friday night

Not sure if my recommendation is accurate but it seemed a little small for me.

A genuine nitrided iron wok, in a useful size
I was looking for a small wok and was surprised to find this nitrided iron one for such a great price. Sure enough, if you season it a bit and use salt, not detergent, to clean it, it's basically non-stick. It also heats up fast and is really light and easy to use. The only thing I would change would be to make the sides less steep so it's easier to move the food.My wok didn't appear to have a coating as others have mentioned. In any case, it's always good to scrub a new iron pan (whether nitrided or cast) to remove any protective films and then season it. After cleaning, I wipe a VERY thin layer of vegetable oil in the pan and set it over high heat until it stops smoking and the visible oil layer has disappeared. I then cool the pan and repeat that process 3-4 times. Most important is to clean with water when possible and wipe it out with paper towel or a cloth, or use salt and a steel wool scrub if really needed.

There could be improvements
The media could not be loaded. Straight out of the box I saw the scratch. I wasn’t about to return it bc of that. I decided to go ahead and do the seasoning process. Washed it up with a coconut scrubby and soap and put it over a small low burner to dry. Attached the handle and I put a bit of corn oil inside and rubbed the wok inside and out. I strayed from regular home method of using the stove and just got out the bernzomatic to speed up the burn on process.Used a tiny bit of oil, dropped in my egg, waited for the sides to set, used a wooden scraper just to break free the edges.Pro:Good non stick behaviorSize - enough for sizable portion of fried rice mid week and easier to clean than my unwieldy 14” wokCons for me:The scratch. It was deep enough that it would catch your nail but overall only aesthetically unpleasing.I would have preferred an attached welded hilt with a wooden handle shoved in there or welded with an hollow metal handle even if it would have roughed up the interior from weld. I’d sacrifice interior aesthetics for the stability of a 1 piece.Tl;Dr it’s a good thickness light duty little wok with some drawbacks that would otherwise make it 5 stars. I’m keeping it bc it works for light stirfries when I don’t want to get out the proper wok

High quality wok….
I love this wok. Please be aware that this is a personal sized wok. I use this for instant noodles where I can eat right from the wok. I also use it for hot pot. Again, this is great for the solo meal and not meant to cook for families. I had a minor issue with the item that was past my return window in which case I contacted the seller and they were quick to respond with a no nonsense solution to my issue!

Food sticks to bottom?
Food sticks to bottom, no matter how well you oil it. Then it starts to cake up, you have to scrub it with a wire cleaner, but that ruins it. I would not buy it again.

A great small wok
The 9 inch wok is good for 2 person meal. Well made and the removable handle make it easy to store. It is not non-stick out of the box. Only a day of frequent use with care, it is now non-stick. Really amazing! It is light weight, fast to heat up with my induction cooktop. All in all, a great wok!

Everything sticks to the bottom
I followed the directions on the product page to season the pan but nothing works. Everything is sticking to the bottom.
