This is confusing.. are those made of plastic or steel? Some comments say it's plastic?

It’s not steel but I wouldn’t say it’s plastic. Not exactly sure how to describe the material but we installed it on our truck and very happy with the product.

Why am I getting an alert from amazon saying " This does not fit 2019 f-150"

Not sure as to why, but they do fit 2017-2019 the mounts are the same. Maybe the trim level may have different lenght shocks fx4, stx and sport are different packages. fx4 is an offraod package as opposed to the sport
