Not quite sure if I trust the readings. I’m a retired nurse, we get the flu, how many times will I use this essential tool in my remaining lifetime? Is it accurate? I don’t know.

After my 2yo godson had a seizure from a spiked fever, I had to get a quick read thermometer and this one is just what I need! Now we do temp checks through the door to be on the safe side. This was a great value and its literally click then point. Works quickly so he can run off to play since babies don't even know when they're sick! Lol

"Mir geht's irgendwie nicht so gut. Könnte Fieber sein. Bestimmt irgendwas um 40°C. Ich will wirklich niemanden anstecken." Das war in den letzten 15 Jahren die Begründung, die ich meinem Chef vorgelegt habe, wenn ich Home Office oder einen Urlaubs....ähhh Krankheitstag brauchte. Obwohl das eine schöne Zeit war, habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass mir mein Chef irgendwann aus blanker Nächstenliebe die Anschaffung eines Fieberthermometers nahegelegt hat. Wir hatten zu Coronazeiten ein Modell im Office, das diesem hier sehr ähnlich war. Von der einfachen Anwendung inspiriert, habe ich mir dann das gute Stück für den privaten Gebrauch zugelegt. Und was soll ich sagen? Ich habe so gut wie keine Krankheitsausfälle mehr! Ich will jetzt nicht so weit gehen zu behaupten, dass mich das Thermometer gesund hält, aber auf jeden Fall zeigt es zuverlässig an, dass ich oft nicht so krank bin, wie ich mich fühle. Zwischenzeitlich hat es so stur 36.6°C angezeigt, dass ich mich schon fragte, ob die Zahlen wohl nur aufgemalt sind. Aber nichts da! Es funktioniert. Ich habe einfach ein paar ein paar andere Dinge gemessen, um sicherzugehen: - Dr. Wolf (Stirn): 36.6° - Andere Personen: Zwischen 36.5° und 36.8° - Dr. Wolf (unterm Arm): 36.6° - Der Hund: Hat leider Fieber (38°), freut sich aber trotzdem über die Aufmerksamkeit - Dr. Wolf (Rachen): 36.6° - Tasse Tee: ERROR. Temperatur hat sich aber mit der Zeit eingependelt und war nicht mehr im kritischen Bereich. Hier noch einmal alle Vor- und Nachteile auf einen Blick: Pro: - Sehr einfache Anwendung - Leicht abzulesen - Messergebnisse sind meines Erachtens zuverlässig - Hygienisch unbedenklich, weil man sich nichts in irgendwelche Körperöffnungen stecken muss. Man kann. Man muss aber nicht. - Preis finde ich völlig angemessen Contra: - Leider habe ich durch die präzisen Messungen weniger Krankheitstage und weniger Freizeit als früher. Die Welt ist so ungerecht! Nichtsdestotrotz: Klare Kaufempfehlung! (Anm. des Autors: Ggf. enthält dieses Review leichte rhetorische Übertreibungen und dramaturgische Spitzen, die nicht deckungsgleich mit meinem wirklichen Arbeitsverhalten sind. Aber das Produkt ist klasse! Ehrlich!)

Anfangs war ich skeptisch ob ich es wieder mit einem Stirnthermometer versuchen soll da ich schon eines hier liegen habe mit dem ich sehr unzufrieden war ( anderer Hersteller Stirn/Ohr). Als es ankam wurde es erstmal ausgiebig getestet. Betrieben wird es mit zwei aaa Batterien die mit enthalten sind. In der Anwendung kann man quasi nichts falsch machen. Es ist oben am Kopf (Auflagefläche) etwas abgerundet um gut abzuschließen. Einfach kurz auf den Knopf drücken und es misst innerhalb von Sekunden. Habe es an mehreren Stellen am Kopf getestet und es hatte wenn überhaupt eine Abweichung von 0,1 °C. Es eignet sich auch sehr gut für Babys oder kleine Kinder, da man ganz einfach im schlaf messen kann. Dafür sollte man nur den Ton ausstellen, was durch einmaliges drücken des dafür vorgesehenen und gekennzeichneten Knopfs ganz einfach und schnell erledigt ist. Nochmaligen drücken aktiviert den Ton wieder. Nach jedem messen ertönt ein kurzer Piepton und die Anzeige im Display leuchtet entweder Grün (alles ok), Orange ( erhöhte Temperatur) oder Rot (Fieber). Durch die einfache Bedienung, leichte Handhabung und doch wertige Verarbeitung kann ich das Thermometer trotz anfänglicher skepsis guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen
