do they bleed through the paper?

Yes, with regular paper and most coloring books I’ve used.l. I put a blotter page behind the one I’m coloring and that works just fine.

Are these markers appropriate for a 10-year old interested in art? she has requested alcohol markers to add to her art supplies.

Yes. They are easy to use, have two tips and are bendable - great for anyone who wants to be more creative with coloring!
