We had an old builder grade thermostat which did not go with our smart home aesthetic. This Ecobee thermostat gives value for money and overall looks great! I recommend getting someone to assist with installation but you can do it yourself if you are a DIYer. With the app, it is easy to use and set up scheduling. *I did not use the wall plate it came with. I had purchased a separate one from a third party to elevate the look I was going for (as seen in the picture). Overall, I recommend this if you want quality, functionality and durability without breaking the bank.

Although I returned it because I found mine that was packed away in a moving box, when I compared them, this was just a good. It appeared to be as durable and all the mounting aligned. The size and color was matching as well. I wouldve had no problems with this if i were keeping it.

I have owned other smart thermostats and this product is the best yet. App is intuitive and gives plenty of flexibility. I live in AZ so for summer it is very useful to monitor the entire house and adjust temp based on when I am home, out or on vacation. Install was very easy and automated. Product is high quality. I do recommend the room sensors for helping to detect complex scenarios when you might need air on but the main thermostat is in a room/area that does not get much traffic (so it senses nobody is home). Easy enough to add on later but costs less to buy the bundle up front.

I purchased this brand because I was not satisfied with the Googly brand... Luckily, this one is MADE IN CANADA instead something weird from the south (USA). The package and the design of it is outstanding. Holding the thermostat in your hand before installation you will have the feeling: this one is well made, it is sturdy, it will last long. The installation process was easy for me - but you will need some DIY skills with some tools to get the job done. It takes approx. 1 hr from open the box to have the thermostat on the wall and the app set up on your smartphone. It is easy to setup an account and to navigate thru the installation steps. The ECOBEE application is user friendly, the device works seamlessly since Day #1, I had ZERO problems in the last few months. High quality product & service from Canada to Canadians. Highly recommended!!

Should have bought this so many years ago didn't know what I was waiting for. My house had a thermostat from the late 80s and wanted to change that ugly thing but was being told becareful because it might not work with the new technology but they were wrong. It works with my old furnace just had to go downstairs and install the adapter which was pretty easy. Everything works both cold and hot and now i can control it from anywhere.
