We love our Blackstone! We use it at least once a week but sometimes it sits unused for a few weeks, especially in the heat of the summer. I oil it well but it still tends to rust up a bit, requiring a little extra maintenance.That's where this item comes into play. Not only does it help keep moisture off the surface, even though we keep it covered and inside an enclosed space, but it helps keep the oil in place. It's been sitting on the grill for a couple weeks now with no signs of rust apparent. Normally we'd see rust forming inside of a week, again with it covered AND sitting inside of an enclosed outdoor shed. VERY happy with how it performs.A VERY close second in why I bought this was to prevent any bugs from crawling across the cooking surface. I haven't seen one actually on there but the thought of an outdoor roach or water bug (let's face it, it's a roach) on there makes me want to throw the entire thing in the trash! Rationally though, I know that cleaning it and heating it before use will kill just about everything that would do us any harm but still, the idea is repulsive. This item makes me feel good about not worrying about it because they are not able to make contact with the surface of the griddle.When removing it, it will drip with oil since the oil sticks to it and that is fine as I bring out a sheet tray to put it on after folding the mat in half and half again. It cleans nicely in the dishwasher given it is silicone and you can plop it right down on a warm (NOT HOT) grill without worrying.Overall we are VERY happy with this item and would buy it again but I doubt we'd need to given it's durability and performance.

I saw this product and thought it would be perfect for my husband's griddle. He always cleans and preps it after cooking. He puts the metal lid on and an outdoor protective fabric cover made for the Blackstone. Even after doing all of that, every time he goes to grill again, he has to reclean it first, because it is usually dirty or rusty looking from just a week to a few weeks time. Well this silicone mat has solved the problem. The first time he used it and went to grill again he came in to tell me, "This thing is awesome! The griddle looks just like I just cleaned it!" I'm very happy to have come across this time saving piece for him.

I love this product. I have purchased one of these for each one my boys for their griddle. Once you clean and season grill let cool and place silicon on top a 36” fits black stone perfectly

Super nice little cover for my blackstone. Keeps the top nice and clean and locks in the oil layer so it doesn’t dry out.

Used for blackstone storage when not in use.

Should have one even if yours has a lid, it helps keep it clean and free of rust

This has been a great addition to my griddle. It does a great job of protecting my cook top

Perfect fit for my Blackstone and so far so good keeps surface ready to cook.
