Excellent & Classy Perfume!
A rich and mesmerising scent, blending exquisitely high quality ingredients, that will appeal to those who have a fascination for Oriental fragrances. Velvety rose, luscious and then powdery, to mention just what comes to mind first. It has a very good sillage and it lasts for many hours. I am currently writing this 12 hours after having sprayed it, and it is still "palpable"...

A classic fragrance from Penhaligon's
Hammam Bouquet is, to put it mildly, an interesting fragrance. Upon initial application, the wearer is greeted by the distinct odour of roses backed by slightly powdery notes. Underneath all this is something indescribable - a warm, captivating note (perhaps amber or musk) that eludes me. This is not the typical Cool Water or Drakkar Noir-like fragrance, and, if that is what the customer is expecting, he will be sorely disappointed. This is a fragrance for the classic gentleman who is confident, self-assured, well-mannered, and capable of commanding the respect of others without saying a word.

... cologne for the past 40 years and is my favorite of all times
I have been wearing this cologne for the past 40 years and is my favorite of all times. It isn't overt. It just smells clean and fresh. Thought, I'm not sure why it is shown as a woman's scent, Hammam was the original scent Penhaligon made in the 1800s and used it as an after shave for his clients. It's strange that Penhaligon's discontinued it for a short while, but I am glad they brought it back -- though it seems with a slight change.
