I work nights and spend much of that time lone working so wanted something small enough to fit in my bag but not at the expense of quality - this purchase didn't disappoint! Crystal clear stereo sound, pulled in a surprising number of stations and easy to use. Disappointed that there was no user manual (but easily found it online) . Not really quality hi-fi but perfectly fits the need and is certainly value for money.

I purchased the Vienna model and am generally happy with it. Sound is fine for my purposes, i mostly listen to sport and news, with quite a big range of volume available. Tuning and programming was easy. The aerial is rather long at around 50cm. Build quality okay, the volume dial does come off easily so be careful not to lose it. It's a pretty robust construction but I doubt the radio would survive being dropped from any significant height.

The sound is pretty good for the size and it found all the expected stations. The presets were easy to set up (unlike some DAB radios). What I wanted to know but couldn't find out in other reviews or the Groov-e website was whether the headphone socket was stereo - it is, unlike a lot of cheap DAB radios. Also the radio is DAB+ which was not clear on the website or packaging (meaning more stations than the old DAB only sets). What did surprise me was how many DAB music radio stations are broadcast in mono and low bit rates - check this out by researching first if this matters to you. For example BBC Radio 1, 2 3 & 6 are in stereo, Classic FM is, Planet Rock and Absolute 80's and 90's have both mono and stereo broadcasts with a suffix of ST for the stereo one. All a bit hit and miss. I don't think digital radio is as good as it should have been - but that is not the fault of this handy portable radio which I will use mostly for in the garden and camping.

After spending many hours of research on DAB radio, I went for this simple built in battery DAB radio with stereo speakers. It’s very light weight and I can take it to a building site without worrying about power source, sound quality is ok for a small radio and hope this radio will last at least 2 years with everyday use.

I found this radio very good for the price of it quite easy to set up the stations sound is clear the bass is bit muffled if your looking for sony performance you better leave this one alone

Great little radio sounds good holds charge battery life good . would recommend if you want a little radio happy listening

One the face of it, it should be a good product, but isn't. The issue is, that radio doesn't quite work properly. For example programming the DAB Station Presets, just doesnt work like the manual says. I was able to program Preset 1,2 &3, 5 & 7,8 & 10 But no matter how hard I try, I get a message "Preset4 is empty", but it wont store. Same for Preset 6 & 9. It's just bizarre. The advertisement says it is stereo. It has 2x Speakers, yes, but stereo reception, no not at all. Even when you plug in stereo headphones and try known stereo stations (Classic FM, BBC 2 etc) it receives them fine, but in mono only. This for DAB and FM.
