I bought an air compressor about four and a half years ago, and eventually the original air chuck wore out and would no longer grip the valve stem. Rather than replacing the entire $140 compressor, I installed this replacement air chuck. It fit perfectly, was easy to install, and brought my compressor back to life. For less than $10, this product saved me from buying a new compressor. That's hard to beat. Pro Tip: Before cutting off the old chuck, wrap a few turns of electrical tape around the hose just below the cut. This keeps the outer hose sheath from unraveling and makes for a much cleaner repair.

They work great, saved my tire inflater.

I have an emergency roadside inflator that I’ve had for many years. I have rarely used it. Over the years the rubber seal inside the chuck lock had swelled and it was almost impossible place it around the valve stem without even locking it into place. I bought these air chicks specifically to change out the defective chuck. I cut the old chuck off placed the supplied hose clamp around the hose then pressed the new air chuck barb into the hose by hand. I tightened the hose clamp and that was it. It took me only a few minutes to install the new chuck. I then took the fixed inflator and tested it on my truck. The air chuck fit over the air valve stem easily and locked down securely. I started my inflator and could not detect any leaks. I kept pumping air until my inflator’s onboard pressure gauge began to rise. I should have fixed this inflator long ago.

The item was shipped promptly and was well packaged. The air chuck appears to be all metal and seems quite durable (as always time will tell). The chuck secures to the tire stem well during use. I used this to repair a portable air compressor that had a leak at the base of the old air chuck. The repair was quite simple and so far there has been no air leak. The reduction of one star is for the quality of the clamp that secures the air chuck to the hose. It does not close smoothly, and the extra clamp portion is on the outside and creates a sharp edge that sticks out a bit. The other clamp the extra clamp portion is retained inward. So the quality control of the clamps is not ideal. For the price , it seems like a decent product.

Some issues but for the most part do what I needed. For the cost, they are fine

I’ve have a mini Black & Decker electric air compressor that I use to put air in our car tires for over 25 years. The thing is built like a tank and we use it often. Over the last few years the the chuck would slip off the fill stem once in a while until it wouldn’t stay on at all and we had to hold it in place, then the locking mechanism completely broke. I figured I’d buy a new air pump to replace it. In reading reviews of how bad the quality of the new products were, I took a shot at seeing if I could find a replacement chuck for our old workhorse. Went to Amazon and there they were, who knew? I read favorable reviews of this one and took a chance. I took the clip off that held the old one on, slipped the screw clamp over the hose, put on the chuck, and tightened it up. It works like a charm...the only downside is the screw clamp. It’s way bigger than the clip/clamp that you use the special pliers to secure. The screw on type gets in the way of securing it to the stem until you adjust it just right. It works perfectly and gave my old pump new life. My son used it on Sunday and he didn’t even notice I replaced it and only said...”hey Dad, I didn’t have to hold the chuck on the tire this time!” LOL. Worked like a charm. Buy with confidence.

I love my old 120VAc powered Black and Decker Air Station. It has serious power to inflate as compared to inflators that plug into your cigarette lighter. Unfortunately over the years the chuck that connects to the tire valve wore out. I have been looking for a replacement and finally found this, It installed easily on my old hose and works great.

I had purchased a Slime inflator for my Jeep Wrangler. I aired down my tires on my off road adventure but the first time I tried to use the inflator to air back up, I broke the plastic air chuck. It was my fault but the plastic chuck was cheep. I still didn't feel comfortable claiming a warranty. This all metal lock-on Air Chuck was a perfect replacement for a cheep chuck and it's even an upgrade and now I have a spare. Well worth the small price.
