You get what you pay for. Some things are more important than money.
I've lifted weights for a good chunk of my life, but fell off the wagon. Recently I started back up along with taking protein supplements. One day I stumbled across the "Clean Label" project as I was researching other products. I was amazed to find that the protein powder I had been taking for years (a well-known, name brand) had rated very poorly for BPAs (a known endocrine disruptor). Basically, this is a chemical commonly found in many plastics that is linked to cancer and developmental disorders. I was taken aback. This wasn't even the worst of all of the proteins. Some had neurotoxic mercury, lead, or even just didn't have the advertised amount of protein in them. Maybe I shouldn't have been too surprised - the entire supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA. So, I went onto the clean label project's list of best proteins, and found this: Puori's PW1 Vanilla Whey Powder. It was expensive...double what I paid for a 2lb jug of my previous, however you can't put a price on what you put into your body. The quality is great. It tastes excellent by itself, even better if you don't mind combining your shake in a blender with fruit (like bananas). It's vanilla - which means it's also neutral enough be combined with your favorite recipes for an extra protein zip. It blends well even in a basic shaker cup...not chalky, or clumpy like some others -- and yes, I've tried a lot over 15 years...I can count 20+ different brands off the top of my head...this is pretty good. I buy it though because it's been independently tested to have what it claims to, and NOT give me lead poisoning (it's funny we have to even say that, thanks Congress/FDA). I buy it because there are only 5 ingredients in it. My ONLY criticism besides the price is the lack of flavors. I would really like to see a banana cream version of this, so I don't have to spike my protein shakes with the sugar from actual bananas. Keep doing what you're doing Puori!

My new favorite!
I’ve been trying to find a protein powder that’s clean, and this is it! My only con: it gets super foamy when you use a blender bottle. There’s worse things than that though, in my opinion. It dissolves well though! Pros: it’s clean label certified, GMP quality assured, 3rd party tested, non-gmo, no pesticides, no hormones, only 5 ingredients, 21g per scoop, AND it tastes good! I personally have not experienced any stomach upset. I do feel like this helps my muscle recovery and I will be purchasing more in the near future. Well done on a clean protein!

Tastes good
Taste is fine. I just mixed with water in a shake cup. Some of it was hard to dissolve.

The best protein supplement I've tried
I'm vegetarian and recovering from total knee replacement surgery, and I needed a high-quality protein supplement. I bought this because Puori is Clean Label Project Certified, meaning every batch undergoes independent, third-party testing by the Clean Label Project. It consistently receives their Purity Award. In addition, you can scan the QR code on the packaging to view the specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the batch you have. The flavor is better than a lot of protein supplements, although I will never love it. I tried mixing it with water, and I couldn't get the clumps out. So I blend it in a smoothie, and that works well. A little frothier than I'd like, but, again, my 5-star rating is comparing it to other protein supplements rather than to how much I enjoy it for itself.

Absolutely Delicious. The Bad Reviews Are Ridiculous!!!
I NEVER write reviews on Amazon because I usually just don’t care enough or the product is “meh” but it works. I had to come and write a review for this protein powder as I almost didn’t order it because of the ridiculous bad reviews. Literally what are people talking about!? “It froths too much” Sorry are you complaining about the deliciously creamy and milkshake like texture of the product? Do you just hate good things? “It tastes bad” I suppose taste is subjective but this is the LEAST offensive flavor I have ever consumed. I put one scoop in a glass of oat milk and gulped it down like a sweet treat I’m not supposed to have. I’ve trained as a sommelier, my palette is pretty fricking impeccable, and there are zeroooooo traces of any chemical taste. It literally tastes like less sugary vanilla milkshake. Think maybe 2-5% the sugar content of a McDonald’s vanilla shake. Perhaps the only thing one can comment on is that yes, it must be shaken not stirred but that instruction is clearly indicated on the package. And the powder itself is a bit…sticky? It can easily get everywhere. But I’d take this things any day over the usual nastiness of most protein powders on the market. I think it’s worth the ridiculous almost $80 price tag.

Expensive, poor packaging, hard to dissolve and foamy
Like many others I bought it for the minimal ingredients, but it’s twice the price of comparable whey protein powders. It ships not in a hard plastic container but a papery plastic pouch with a press-zip style seal that’s never easy to reseal, and worse, the one it came in came unstuck the very first time I opened it making the package un-reusable, so I had to transfer the powder to my Optimum Nutrition protein powder tub. It doesn’t dissolve easily and foams up somewhat upon mixing vigorously. One trick I discovered is to just add a small amount of water to it enough to cover the powder and vigorously mix it with a spoon, and it dissolves almost entirely with maybe a few tiny lumps. Adding more water then mixing further mostly dissolves the lumps. The taste when mixed with a small to medium cup of water is very minimal, almost tasteless to me, which is probably a good thing as sweet tasting powders limit my appetite, which is not what I want.

Does not blend & too much foam
Awful. Does not blend AT ALL, too much foam, and bad taste. Made me gag. Just learned I can't return it so now I'll have to find a way to perhaps use it in cooking, otherwise I just spent a whole lot of money on an unusable product. Very disappointing as I was excited by it being a clean product.
