As the parent of an avid boulderer, we go through a lot of climbing chalk in our household. Friction Labs Gorilla Grip is hands down my son's favorite and the one we keep buying. The chunky texture of this chalk is perfect for getting good friction and grip on those tiny holds and incredibly overhung routes he loves to conquer. The chalk really stays put on his hands without constantly having to reapply. While I appreciate that the 12oz size lasts longer than smaller containers, we still find ourselves reordering this chalk frequently because of how much he uses it during climbing sessions. I wish Friction Labs offered a larger size option or multi-pack - it would save us money in the long run. Aside from that minor gripe, this is simply the best quality chalk my son has used. The grip is fantastic; it goes on smoothly and doesn't make a huge mess or cloud up the air too much when brushing off excess. The recent move to 100% recyclable packaging is just icing on the cake for an environmentally-conscious brand. We're happy to support a company that is doing good for the climbing community and the planet. If your climber hasn't tried Gorilla Grip yet, get it - it's incredibly sticky, long-lasting chalk that helps stick those deadpoint moves. And Friction Labs, pretty please consider a mega-size option for us boulder junkies!

I can't speak personally, but according to my granddaughter, this is THE chalk of champions, as recommended by her coach. I am not sure why though. Package is small, here's hoping the results are big!

For years friction labs came in packaging similar to coffee bags, where you would roll up the top and secure it with plastic tabs. Now they're using plastic bags that aren't resealable. I'm not sure why they thought saving 5 cents on packaging was necessary with what they charge for chalk, but the chalk not being resealable is a huge inconvenience. Fortunately I figured this out at home and not at the gym or the crag!

Really impressed with this chalk. The grip improvement is noticeable right away and it keeps my hands dry during workouts. I’ve used it for lifting and it works very well. The powder is fine and spreads easily, and it doesn’t create big clouds of dust like some chalks do. It also doesn’t feel too harsh on the skin. A little goes a long way, so the box should last quite a while. Overall, great quality chalk and I’d definitely buy it again.

I keep this chalk in my chalk bucket and it seems to coat easily if you take a chunk and dont fully break it but almost just rub it on your hand. Dries well and seems fine for my needs. Friction seems to be good on all holds for me and obviously is noticeable on slopers / friction holds the most. Chunk size vs powder amount was good for me personally. Seemed to be about 40% chunks and 60% powder for me I will note that a couple friends have used Crux chalk which is more similar to unicorn dust and is soft and they thought this one is very sharp.

WORTH THE SPLURGE!!! My husband SWEARS by this chalk, & I have bought him a lot of different brands to try. Not only does it last a long time (a little goes a long way), but the texture & grip is unlike anything he’s ever tried. He’s not on his 5th pack of this stuff & uses it every time he boulders!!

This brand makes the best climbing chalk I've ever used. it allows me to maintain a firm grip even on tiny holds. But it's just a bit pricey.

試しに買ってみました。普段、東京粉末を使用していますが、それと比較すると、保持の具合が全然違います！ ただ、ちょい高めなので、コンペだったり外岩で絶対落としたい課題が有るときに使用しようかな、、
