How do you tie off the ends

I used webbing and a carabiner around a tree and the same on a porch post. You could use rope as well. Or maybe you are referring to the cable ends?If so, a twisting tension hardware is provided in the kit. Consider being specific with your questions. Really, I'm only guessing at what you are asking about.

Nees more description to compare say, to Lehman's. Plastic? steel? aluminum? what are the parts? etc.

I don't own the Strata, but I do own the Lehman's. I bought it a decade ago. When one pulley broke some years afterward, I bought a larger (8") pulley from Lehman's, and it was made in China, despite its being advertised as made in Canada (I assume this was in a brief window when Lehman's was switching suppliers). When the remaining Lehman pulley broke this month, I wanted another 8" pulley (which I strongly recommend: the bigger pulley makes a huge difference in how easily the clothesline glides). I looked at Lehman's for a replacement, but I found one that was a little cheaper (factoring in the mailing charge) at a store called The Clothesline Shop (clotheslineshop.com). It's a tiny family-run business in Maine, but what arrived (and arrived quickly) was an industrial-strength zinc pulley made in Canada, and it makes Lehman's version look rinky-dink in comparison. The Clothesline Shop has the whole setup, too (pulleys, line, winch, etc.). I'd compare that shop's product with Lehman's if I were you. Believe me, it's no fun at all to pick your freshly washed laundry off the ground because a pulley broke.

Is this something that can be taken down when not doing laundry and put back up easily? or is it more work than you would want to do every time?

If you wanted to take it down there would be even more time involved than installing it in the first place. You would have to slacken the winch, which is no mean feat and a bit dangerous....unhook each end from the hooks, wrap it all up, store away, then reverse this processs every time.....it's the kind of thing you would only want to do for some very special reason. Having said all that, I love my clothesline !

Quality product.

Doesn’t appear to be a cheap knockoff product that Amazon is becoming all too well know for.This product uses proper steel cable, cast aluminium pulleys and real bearings.It’s pricey but will definitely cost you less in the long run. You won’t be fiddling around with stretched cable (washing line) or failed bearings unlike buying a product that ‘looks’ similar in the photos.

Quality will last years.

Extremely fast delivery. Very very easy to install. But If connecting anchor hooks into brick work ensure you obtain strong large rawplugs. They don’t provide them(only reason I dropped one star). Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Great for back yards that are tiered, so you don't need a wurly gig.

Always wanted a washing line that can utilise a the full length of garden and yard. We attached it to our end terrace wall at 1st floor height say 15ft up. And about 25 feet to the back of the garden attached to a post 7ft. The pulleys work smoothly. We had one spacer, personally I think as part of the kit 3 should come with it.We did have another pulley system the spacers bought separately were too big for the line. Buying the kit form is the better option. Highly recommend this for those who can use the height in a sloping garden.
